Red Zones are some of the most punishing optional content in PRAGMATA, but the best upgrade materials in the game sit behind their locked doors. Surviving every Red Zone takes preparation, the right loadout, and knowing exactly where to find the Red Gate Keys that grant you entry.
This guide covers every Red Gate Key location across The Cradle, all nine arena sites with precise in-level directions, and the full reward list for each.
1. What Are Red Zones in PRAGMATA
Red Zones are optional, high-difficulty combat arenas scattered across the sectors of The Cradle. Each one is marked as hazardous on your map and sealed behind a Red Gate Key. Once you step inside, the door locks and stays locked until the last enemy in the arena is down.
- Multi-wave encounters: Enemies arrive in waves and grow noticeably tougher the further into the game you go.
- Supply boxes: Breakable yellow crates placed around arena edges let you restock ammo and gear between waves.
- Enemy drops: Enemies drop weapons and Mods during the fight, often hinting toward the most useful tools for that specific encounter.
- Firmware check: Preparation is critical. See Section 4 for the full pre-arena checklist.
1.1 Red Zone Rewards
Every Red Zone guarantees at least one Pure Lunum on completion, the primary resource for pushing weapons to their highest upgrade tiers. Additional rewards vary by arena and include Mods and Storage Expanders.
- Pure Lunum: Awarded by every arena, used for top-tier weapon and ability upgrades at the Unit Printer.
- Mods: Several arenas drop Mods that expand Hugh’s combat options, including the Pocket Refinery (+10% Lunafilament earned) and Collateral Damage (30% of Critical Shot damage spreads to nearby enemies).
- Storage Expanders: Multiple arenas reward these, permanently increasing Diana’s hacking gauge capacity.
- Stamp Board unlocks: Clearing specific Red Zones unseals locked squares on Cabin’s Stamp Boards at the Shelter, opening bingo sections you cannot access any other way.
2. All Red Gate Key Locations in PRAGMATA
There are exactly nine Red Gate Keys in PRAGMATA, one for each arena. Keys are fully universal across all sectors, meaning a key found in Sector 04 can open a door back in Sector 02 just as easily.
Four keys are physical pickups found in the open world, while the remaining five are earned through Cabin’s Stamp Club at the Shelter.
An important note before hunting: not every arena has a key placed nearby. Several Red Zones have no key in the surrounding area at all, and you will need to plan your Stamp Board progression accordingly.
2.1 Physical Red Gate Key Locations
These four keys are found in the world and require no Cabin Coins to obtain.
- Key 1 (Sector 02): Inside the cafe in the Shopping District, found near the Riot Gun. This is in the room directly following the first Red Zone in the game, which also contains the Resident Evil poster.
- Key 4 (Sector 03): In the Eco Modeling Lab, on a laptop in the lab on the upper walkway past the second Gen Chip placement, near a secondary Escape Hatch.
- Key 6 (Sector 04): In the lab at the Main Excavation Site, on a desk directly beside the Logistics Management Escape Hatch.
- Key 7 (Sector 06): In the room directly after riding the second elevator to the Research Sector. Impossible to miss.
2.2 Red Gate Keys from Cabin’s Stamp Club
Five keys are earned through Cabin’s Stamp Boards at the Shelter. Note that the Director Board only unlocks after completing Sector 04 and progressing through the short Sector 05 cutscene sequence, so its two keys are not accessible mid-run in the Lunum Mines.
- Key 2: Trainee Board, bottom middle square
- Key 3: Associate Board, bottom right square
- Key 5: Specialist Board, third column, first row (unlocked after completing Terra Dome)
- Key 8: Director Board, fourth column, second row
- Key 9: Director Board, second column, third row
3. All Red Zone Locations and Rewards
All nine Red Zones are spread across four sectors of The Cradle. Below is every arena with its sector location, nearby key mapping, and full reward payout for clearing it.
The Regolith Lab is the only arena that drops two Pure Lunum, making it one of the most efficient clears in the game from a raw upgrade material standpoint.
| Red Zone | Sector | Nearest Landmark | Nearby Key | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Business District | Sector 02 Block 04 | Lower area past the Side Alley Escape Hatch leading to the Business District | None — Stamp Board required | 1x Pure Lunum, Pocket Refinery Mod (+10% Lunafilament) |

4. How to Survive Red Zone Encounters
Each arena is built around a specific enemy composition, and walking in with the wrong loadout will cost you a key.
Always check your Firmware Updater upgrades before entering any arena in a new sector, and stock Cartridge Holders so you are not left scrambling mid-wave.
4.1 Arena-Specific Strategies
Four arenas in particular demand a targeted approach due to their enemy compositions.
- Terrarium (Sector 03 Block 05): Floods the arena with invisible enemies. Tracking them by sight alone will get you swarmed. Bring the Stasis Net to lock down movement and the Decoy Generator to group them up for area damage.
- Warehouse (Sector 04 Block 03): Another crowd-heavy encounter. The Stasis Net and Decoy Generator remain strong picks here for the same reasons as the Terrarium.
- Regolith Lab (Sector 06 Block 02): Sends large waves of flying enemies attacking from above. The Impact Barrier Defense Unit performs well here, blocking vertical projectiles while you pick targets out of the air.
- Lunafilament Lab (Sector 06 Block 04): Widely considered the hardest arena in the game. The space is tight, and enemy tiers are high. Area-of-effect weapons are non-negotiable, and slotting Diana’s Confuse hacking node lets you flip the heaviest enemies against their own allies.
4.2 General Red Zone Tips
A few principles hold true across every arena, regardless of sector.
- Break every yellow supply box along the arena edges to restock ammo and gear between waves.
- Enemies drop weapons and Mods as loot during fights. Pick these up and use them; the game often drops the most useful tools for that specific encounter.
- Red Gate Keys are universal. Skip an arena that’s too difficult and return with a stronger build later without losing access.
- If repeated attempts fail, revisit the Firmware Upgrader at the Shelter and push Hugh’s loadout to the next upgrade tier before trying again.
- Plan your Stamp Board progression around Red Zone access. Several arenas have no nearby key, and running out of keys mid-sector forces you to stop and farm Cabin Coins before you can continue.
