PRAGMATA – List of All Read Earth Memory (REM) Locations

Read Earth Memories are among the most rewarding collectibles in PRAGMATA, and easily the most personal. Each one is a small fragment of Earth life that Hugh can bring back to Diana, transforming the Shelter from a bare survival space into something that feels lived in.

This guide covers every REM location in PRAGMATA, organized by sector, with step-by-step directions for each. It also covers the Cabin Coin rewards, both tied trophies and achievements, tips for ability-gated collectibles, and everything you need to complete Diana’s Shelter without a second playthrough.

1. What Are Read Earth Memories in PRAGMATA

Read Earth Memories, shortened to REMs, are holographic collectibles hidden throughout the game’s sectors. Each one appears in the world as a glowing blue globe, but once you bring it back to the Shelter and gift it to Diana, it transforms into a physical display of an Earth object she has never seen.

She comments on each one during return visits, plays with them over time, and the Shelter genuinely starts to feel like a home as her collection grows.

There are 16 REMs across five sectors. Here is what you need to know before hunting them down:

  • Cabin Coins: Every REM you gift earns one Cabin Coin, spent at Cabin’s Stamp Boards near the tram station.
  • REM Replicators: Filling all slots in a sector’s Replicator causes the Shelter to construct a fully furnished room around the completed set.
  • Ability-gated REMs: Some REMs require abilities (Lim Eraser, Cleansing).
  • Nothing is missable: Unknown Signal Mode, unlocked after completing the story, lets you revisit every sector with all collectibles still intact.

1.1. REM Trophies and Achievements

Two trophies are directly tied to the REM system, and both are worth targeting early:

  • For Me?: Give an REM as a present to Diana. (Bronze)
  • Replicating Extraordinaire!: Complete a full REM series inside one of the Shelter’s REM Replicators. (Silver)

The first unlocks automatically when you hand over the Globe in Sector 01. The second requires collecting every REM in a single sector’s set and filling all slots in that sector’s Replicator.

2. Sector 01 REM Locations (Solar Power Plant)

Sector 01 holds two REMs, and one is handed to you automatically. The Solar Power Plant is a linear tutorial area, which means there is no complex routing to work through here.

The only REM that requires any effort is the Crayons, tucked behind a Holo-Wall just before the sector’s boss encounter. Grab it on your first pass, and you will not need to return to this sector for collectibles again.

2.1. Globe

Sub-Area: Main Control Lobby | Block: 03 (The Concourse)

The Globe is unmissable. After unlocking all six power terminals and opening the door into Block 03, a cutscene triggers in which Diana discovers a half-finished globe on a table just past the door. Interact with it to collect it.

This also serves as the game’s introduction to the REM system. Hand it to Diana on your next Shelter visit to earn your first Cabin Coin.

2.2. Crayons

Sub-Area: Main Control Lobby | Block: 03 (The Concourse)

Before heading to the main lift toward the boss area, follow this quick route to find the hidden room:

  1. Use the blue ascension jump on the left wall to reach the upper ledge.
  2. Move right along the ledge toward a ventilator (a yellow Upgrade Component is nearby).
  3. Interact with the faint holographic shimmer on the wall directly across from the Holo-Wall to dissolve it.
  4. Enter the revealed room and walk to the far end to pick up the Crayons REM.

If you proceed to the boss first, you can backtrack here before leaving the sector.

3. Sector 02 REM Locations (Mass Production Array)

Sector 02 holds four REMs spread across its shopping districts, alleyways, and recycling facility. Three are accessible on your first pass through the area.

3.1. Basketball

Sub-Area: Shopping District | Block: 02

The Basketball REM sits just past a barred gate in the Shopping District. You’ll need to approach the sightline, climb through an adjacent room, and clear a small robot guard to reach it.

  1. After hacking the second transmitter, continue down the path until you spot the Basketball REM hologram through a barred gate.
  2. From that sightline, head right and climb through an open room into a shaft on the other side of the gate.
  3. Defeat the robot waiting on the far side and collect the REM on your left.

3.2. Slide

Sub-Area: Side Alley | Block: 03

The Slide REM is guarded by a tall fence in the Side Alley, requiring you to find an alternate route from above.

  1. After hacking the third transmitter, locate the fence with the Slide REM visible behind it.
  2. Take the cable lift directly beside the fence to ride up to the top.
  3. Drop down into the fenced area from above to collect it.

3.3. Skateboard (Requires Lim Eraser)

Sub-Area: Business District | Block: 04

Exit the Safe Room at the start of Block 04 and head right to begin the traversal sequence.

  1. Use the Lim Eraser to clear the blocked path and proceed to the elevator with red hackable panels.
  2. Ride the elevator down into the traversal puzzle area below.
  3. Hack the central wall panel and climb the newly extended platform.
  4. Repeat the process of hacking the panel and climbing each ledge as it extends until you reach the very top.
  5. From the top-left platform, look down and hack the panel one final time to extend the bridging block to the Skateboard REM.

3.4. CRT TV

Sub-Area: Lim Recycling Facility | Block: 05

The CRT TV REM is protected by a ring of laser barriers deep inside the recycling facility, requiring careful navigation after a brief Holo-Wall detour.

  1. Cross the second printed bridge in Block 05 and push through the room with the incinerator.
  2. At the end of the hallway, check behind a Holo-Wall on the right for a Safe Box.
  3. Enter the next room and navigate through the ring of laser barriers to collect the CRT TV REM on the circular platform.

4. Sector 03 REM Locations (Terra Dome)

The Terra Dome holds four REMs across its layered organic environment. The dense layout, 3D-printed tree structures, and multiple branching sub-areas make this sector the most involved for collectible hunting.

Work through each tram station methodically and run Diana’s Item Scan on arrival to stay on top of what remains.

4.1. Flowers

Sub-Area: Terra Dome Entrance | Block: 01

After taking the main elevator up in the Terra Dome Entrance, you can spot the Flowers REM on a platform visible from the top floor. Drop back down to reach it using this route:

  1. From the top of the elevator, drop to the right of the console.
  2. Immediately fire your Thrusters to drift right and land on the large root below.
  3. Jump from the root to the platform with the Flowers REM (use the Mod above the platform as a visual anchor for aiming).

4.2. Balloons

Sub-Area: Eco Modeling Lab | Block: 02

After the Escape Hatch in the Eco Modeling Lab, head downstairs into the forest area and go to the right side. The Balloons REM is in the far right corner of this area. A Walker enemy guards it. Clear the enemy before collecting the REM.

4.3. RC Car (Requires Lim Eraser)

Sub-Area: Eco Modeling Lab | Block: 02

Follow these steps to navigate the tunnel and find the REM:

  1. From the third gene chip terminal, head left to the railing and drop down toward the container area below.
  2. Defeat the robot enemy waiting on a nearby wall platform.
  3. Drop further and follow the path into a cave in the rocks.
  4. Use the Lim Eraser to clear the Lunafilament blocking the cave entrance, then carefully navigate the laser traps through the tunnel to find the RC Car REM at the far end.

4.4. Swing (Requires Lim Eraser)

Sub-Area: Soil Research | Block: 04

Inside the Soil Research area, follow this route to bypass the security zone:

  1. Hack one of the locked doors from the hologram table room.
  2. In the next room, hack the signal jammer and clear the enemies.
  3. Head right through another door to find a yellow security zone. Before entering it, U-turn and look for a Lim mass on the wall.
  4. Use the Lim Eraser to clear it, climb up, and follow the passage to drop into the locked room containing the Swing REM.

5. Sector 04 REM Locations (Lunum Mines)

The Lunum Mines hold three REMs spread across its tunnels and excavation zones. All three are accessible without any ability gates on your first pass through the sector.

The routes are direct once you know where to look, and none require backtracking.

5.1. Campfire

Sub-Area: Mine Entrance | Block: 01

After the first encounter with the LunaDigger and the building section that follows, exit back outside and thrust across the gap to the other side.

Climb the broken staircase ahead. Partway up, there is a gap between two stair sections. Drop down into it to find the Campfire REM sitting in the opening. It is visible as you climb and is hard to miss.

5.2. Bug Net

Sub-Area: Warehouse | Block: 03

The Bug Net REM is visible through a window directly beside the Warehouse Escape Hatch. Reaching it requires repositioning three orange crates in a specific sequence:

  1. Hack the first crate and push it forward until it locks in place.
  2. Locate the second crate behind and to the right of the first. Push it forward until it locks.
  3. Move to the opposite side of the second crate and push it again to continue opening the path.
  4. Jump onto the ledge in the same section as the exit. From here, hack the third crate that is blocking the REM and move it aside.
  5. Walk through the now-clear path to collect the Bug Net REM.

5.3. Tent

Sub-Area: Main Excavation Site | Block: 04

Before entering the next major door in the Main Excavation Site exterior, look for an orange fuel canister against the wall to the right.

Jump onto it and use it to climb over the broken wall section behind it. The Tent REM is on the other side. Use Diana’s Object Scan if you cannot immediately spot the canister.

6. Sector 05 REM Locations (Central Port)

The final sector holds three REMs across the port’s docking facilities and research labs. Two of them appear near major story beats and are straightforward to collect.

6.1. Parasol

Sub-Area: Port Entrance | Block: 01

Reaching this REM requires backtracking slightly to access a hidden elevated passage:

  1. After the train section, do not descend the nearby stairs; instead, look up and to the left at the raised hallway in the wall above.
  2. Backtrack slightly, climb onto the stacked cargo boxes at the top, and thrust left to reach the elevated hallway.
  3. Go through the doorway at the end to collect the Parasol REM (be prepared: a large bot spawns immediately after pickup).

6.2. Water Gun

Sub-Area: Regolith Lab | Block: 03

The Water Gun REM is hidden behind a subtle Holo-Wall inside the Regolith Lab.

  1. Finish the Red Zone in the Regolith Lab and collect its Pure Lunum rewards.
  2. Enter the next room and run an Item Scan to look for a subtle shimmer on the walls.
  3. Interact with the Holo-Wall to remove it and collect the Water Gun REM on the ground behind it.

6.3. Sandcastle

Sub-Area: Lunafilament Lab | Block: 04

The Sandcastle REM is placed directly on the main story path and requires unlocking a specific door.

  1. Reach the room with the five locks as part of the main objective.
  2. Hack all five terminals to unlock the door.
  3. Enter the room directly behind that door to collect the Sandcastle REM.

7. Best Tips to Find REMs in PRAGMATA

With 16 REMs spread across five sectors, staying organized is just as important as knowing where to look. A few habits on your first pass will save significant time on backtracking later.

  • Run an Item Scan at each tram station: It flags nearby REMs with a blue globe icon and triggers a voice line when one is close.
  • Unlock Item Scan early: Purchase it at the Unit Printer in the Shelter so the scan is available on your first visit.
  • Clear enemies first: Several REMs sit just past the combat zones. Enemies make collectibles easy to overlook until the fight is over.
  • Do not force ability-gated paths: If a route is blocked by Lunafilament, dead crystals, or a locked door, mark the nearest tram station and return later.
  • Track ability unlocks: The Lim Eraser unlocks in Mass Production Array 05; the Cleansing Ability unlocks at Central Port 01. Both come automatically through story progression.
  • Track per-sector progress: The in-game menu shows your REM count per sector at all times. Pair that with Diana’s scan to avoid leaving gaps.
  • Use Unknown Signal Mode for cleanup: Anything missed before the credits roll remains available in Unknown Signal Mode after the story ends. No REM is permanently locked out.
