PRAGMATA All Endings Guide – How To Get True Secret Ending

PRAGMATA’s secret ending takes much more than just beating the story once. The guide explains all the ending paths, how Unknown Signal works, and what you need to unlock the extended final scene.

Pragamata endings guidePRAGMATA’s true ending is not tied to a dialogue choice or a late-game branch. You first need to finish the main story once, then clear a specific set of post-game objectives in Unknown Signal before beating the final boss again with the right mod equipped.

The extra ending scene is short, but it changes the implication of Hugh’s fate and is clearly the game’s secret extended ending.

PRAGMATA has three main endings: the normal ending, the Abandonment ending, and the true ending. The normal ending is what you get by finishing the main story the first time, while the true ending is an extended post-game variation unlocked through the Unknown Signal menu.

Ending Name Requirements Result
Normal Ending Standard completion with less than 100% Synergy Diana returns to Earth on her own, while Hugh remains on the moon
Abandonment Ending Low Diana Synergy and multiple failed escort sequences A tragic ending where Hugh and Diana’s bond is severed
True Ending 100% Synchronization, all 20 Memory Fragments, and all side missions Similar to Normal Ending with an extended post-credit scene.

2. How to Get Normal Ending

The Normal Ending is the standard route most players will see if they mostly follow the main story and do not fully complete the optional progression tied to Diana. It is the normal finish for a run that falls short of max synchronization without collapsing all the way into the low-bond failure route.

Follow these steps to get the Normal Ending:

  1. Play through the campaign normally.
  2. Finish the main story without reaching 100% Synchronization.
  3. Miss some optional exploration, Memory Fragments, or side content.
  4. Avoid the heavy escort-failure route that pushes you into the Abandonment Ending.
  5. Complete the final sequence to get the Normal Ending.

3. How To Get Abandonment Ending

Ending Cutscene

The Abandonment Ending is the bad route. It is tied to a very low bond with Diana rather than a simple, incomplete exploration. The key condition is keeping Diana Synergy low and repeatedly failing the escort-style sequences that are meant to strengthen the partnership between Hugh and Diana.

Follow these steps to get Abandonment Ending during the finale:

  1. Keep your Synchronization Rate low instead of pushing it upward.
  2. Skip the optional exploration that improves Diana-related progress.
  3. Ignore the side content that helps Hugh and Diana’s relationship.
  4. Fail multiple escort sequences during the campaign and in the final boss fight.
  5. Finish the story with low synergy to trigger the Abandonment Ending.

4. How to Get True Ending

Black Box Mod

Black Box Mod

The true ending is a post-game route. You will have to beat the game once, enter Unknown Signal, fully clear the required post-game content in the Hidden Chamber, get the Black Box Mod, equip it, then defeat the enhanced final boss again.

Use these step-by-step instructions to play Unknown Signal mode:

  1. Beat the main story once to unlock Unknown Signal.
  2. Start Unknown Signal from the main menu.
  3. Progress until you can access the Hidden Chamber.
  4. Reach 100% completion in each level/sector required by Unknown Signal.
  5. Defeat all of the enhanced area bosses.
  6. Unlock all the Sim Pods / Simulation Missions in the Hidden Chamber and clear them.
  7. Open the Hidden Chamber reward room and pick up the Black Box Mod.
  8. Equip the Black Box Mod to Hugh before the final rematch.
  9. Return to Central Port and defeat the enhanced version of the final boss again.
  10. Finish the ending sequence again to trigger the secret extended ending scene.

5. What Changes in True Ending of PRAGMATA?

The ending sequence is mostly the same until the final extra scene. The key difference is an added line from Cabin after the normal ending plays out, implying that Hugh may have survived and returned alive, rather than simply dying from dead filament exposure.

6. Points of No Return in PRAGMATA

PRAGMATA has three hard points of no return. If you cross them with unfinished objectives, you can lock yourself out of the True Ending for that playthrough. Keep these checkpoints in mind before you push the story forward.

Chapter / Sector Trigger What You Must Finish First
Chapter 3: Sector 4 Activating the Deep Space Comm Relay Collect all 3 Encrypted Logs in the ruins
Chapter 6: Sector 7 Boarding the Mag-Lev Transport Fully upgrade Diana’s Hacking Module
Chapter 9: Sector 9 Entering the Orbital Elevator Reach 100% Synergy and 20/20 Memories
