21. Albion Online Roads of Avalon: Location and Tips

The Roads of Avalon are shifting networks of magical pathways that connect different zones in Albion Online. They were designed to give small groups, duos, and solo players an alternative to the heavily contested Black Zones. Each Road is temporary, with entrances and exits changing regularly, making them unpredictable but rewarding for travel, gathering, and small-scale PvP.

21.1 How to Enter the Roads

  • Open World Entrances: Look for glowing Avalonian portals scattered across the world. Interacting with them allows you to channel into the Roads.
  • Multiple Exit Points: Each entrance leads to a unique network of paths that can connect to other Roads, Outlands zones, or even directly back to the Royal Continent.
  • Dynamic Timers: Roads reset frequently, so the same entrance won’t stay open forever. This keeps traffic varied and less predictable.

21.2 Features of the Roads of Avalon

  • Resource Gathering: Roads spawn high-tier resource nodes (T6–T8) with less competition than Black Zones.
  • Treasure Chests: Contain silver, tomes of insight, artifacts, and gear. Group chests are especially valuable.
  • Small-Scale PvP: Gankers and roamers patrol the Roads, but encounters are less overwhelming than full zergs in the Outlands.
  • Travel Routes: Guilds and traders use the Roads to move resources discreetly between regions while avoiding main Outlands routes.
  • Hideouts: Guilds can build hideouts inside the Roads, creating staging grounds for gathering or small-scale operations.

21.3 Tips for Success in the Roads

  1. Bring mobility builds to escape ambushes and cover ground faster.
  2. Scout exits before committing to fights or resource runs—Roads can collapse behind you.
  3. Run in duos or small groups for safety without drawing too much attention.
  4. Use Roads for logistics if transporting resources—safer than hauling through busy Black Zone routes.
  5. Check group chests regularly, as they are some of the best silver per hour available outside static dungeons.
