Codemasters has released a new gameplay trailer today showcasing the new Hanoi track – The Vietnam Grand Prix in F1 2020. The on-board footage features the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc navigating the 5km circuit which took much inspiration from legendary tracks such as Suzuka, Monaco, and Nürburgring.
Lee Mather, Game Director on the F1 games, was excited about the addition of Hanoi:
We’re always excited to create new experiences for our players. Hanoi Circuit delivers both thrills and challenges, set against the backdrop of the stunning city skyline. Hanoi Circuit is an adrenaline rush with high speeds, long straights and heavy braking zones, but it will punish anyone who dosen’t respect the walled sections.
In the real-life sport, the Vietnam Grand Prix is on-hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the race organisers are still hoping for a 2020 event.
The addition of the new Hanoi circuit is not the only one in F1 2020. The Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort is included as well as new game mode ‘My Team’ that allows you to create your own Formula 1 team and fight against some of the best in the sport.
F1 2020 is only weeks away with the title releasing on July 10th on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
