Treasure Hunt is one of the numerous optional objectives you can complete aboard Talos 1 in Prey. This is an objective for which you must find four maps and code numbers to input into Abigail Foy’s computer terminal. Completing Treasure Hunt will reward you with a fabrication plan for the Adventurer’s Toolkit v1.x suit chipset. It’s worth completing this objective because that suit chipset increases Morgan’s crouch movement speed, flashlight battery life, and recycler yield. This is where you can find all the Treasure Hunt map locations in Prey to complete that objective.

Unlocking the Treasure Hunt Objective

If you haven’t unlocked Treasure Hunt already, you can do so at the computer workstation in Danielle Sho’s cabin. Enter Danielle Sho’s cabin in Crew Quarters and select Emails on the workstation there. Select the Treasure Hunt email from Foy on that computer, which tells Sho about the map fragments.

Check out the Objectives tab to read the new Treasure Hunt objective available. You must locate the maps Foy handed to Sho, West, Beatty, and Black. You must also investigate each map to find its code number within Talos 1. So, there’s quite a lot of searching required for this objective.

Zachery’s West Map

Zachery’s West map is one of the more straightforward ones to find. To find it, head to the door entrance to Deep Storage on level 1 of Talos 1’s Arboretum area. You’ll find the corpse of Zachery West on the floor right in front of the entrance to Deep Storage. Search West’s body to find his Hordinbaffle Flagdasterous map.

Walk to the Life Support door entrance in Cargo Bay. Take a right turn from that door to see the number five painted on a wall near it, which is also next to the G.U.T.S tunnel system entrance.

Elias Black’s Map

To find Elias Black’s map, head to the Crew Quarters area of Talos 1, enter the Recreation Center, and go up the stairs to reach level two of Crew Quarters. You’ll find the note for this map on the large conference table there. Also, make sure you pick up the keycard for Abigail Foy’s cabin on that table, which you’ll need to complete Treasure Hunt.

Finish the Treasure Hunt Objective

You can finish the objective when you’ve found all the Treasure Hunt map locations in Prey and the codes they lead to. Head to Abigail Foy’s cabin in Crew Quarters to unlock its door with the keycard you picked up on the conference table in the Recreation Center. Enter the cabin and crouch under the desk the computer is on to find a password sticky note for the workstation under it.

Then access Foy’s computer workstation and select Utilities > Hidden Treasure. You will need to input a code with the four numbers you found on the walls. Note that the code is random, meaning there isn’t one fixed code that always works. Try inputting 3165, 1365, and 3156, which are widely confirmed to work. There are 24 four-digit combinations for the code numbers you might need to try.

You may now wonder why bother finding all the maps and required code numbers when you know what they are. Treasure Hunt has a penalty for cheaters who don’t find all the maps and numbers. Instead of receiving the Adventurer’s Toolkit, you’ll get the Game Master’s Ire fabrication plan for a chipset that reduces crouch movement speed, recycler yield, and flashlight battery life.

So, make sure you find all those Treasure Hunt map locations in Prey and their numbers to complete the objective without cheating. Head to a nearby fabricator to create the Adventurer’s Toolkit chipset. It’s one of the best and most unique chipsets in the game with multiple suit bonuses.
