Gameboy Color? Is that you?
For those that don’t know, Analogue is a company that’s all about nostalgia. They are currently selling all sorts of gaming devices reminiscent of game consoles of old like the Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis and more. The newest addition to their lineup is a device called Pocket that tries to emulate the insanely popular Gameboy Color – albeit with a more advanced tech under the hood. Pocket is already compatible with the 2,780+ cartridges of all three Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance systems, it will also work with cartridge adapters to support other retro handheld systems like Game Gear. Minecraft Earth enters Early Access
Get ready to have the world around your built out of those recognizable Minecraft blocks. Minecraft Earth is an augmented reality game akin to Pokemon Go that uses the camera in your phone to render the world around you in an accurate way, only in blocks, as if your streets and city blocks were inside the popular game. Of course, you’ll be able to add to this blocky world by using your phone and construct all the silly buildings your heart desires. The game will slowly roll-out into Early Access, country by country which seems like it’s going to be a fairly slow process. For more details, check out our original coverage.
Okami sequel (somewhat) teased
Okami is one beautiful game and I bet many fans, including me, would just love a modern-day sequel. Well, Okami creator – Hideki Kamiya, has given us all some hope on this actually happening. Kamiya is known for playing pranks on his fanbase so his statement should be taken with a grain of salt but his statement was clear as day and he literally said that “Okami will be back”. To check the rest of his statement and the full video where he made it be sure to check out our original coverage.
US Congress members petitioning Blizzard
Blizzard is under siege due to their banning of Blitzchung after his pro-Hong-Kong statement. As if the fire from fans wasn’t enough, even some members of the US Congress joined the fray. The five members even issued a formal petition to Activision Blizzard’s CEO Bobby Kotick to un-ban Blitzchung and reinstate his prize money. You can check the full petition as well as more details on this news right here.
Diablo 4 coming to Blizzcon?
Blizzard desperately needs a win. After the “do you guys not have phones, mobile Diablo” fiasco and the recent banning of Blitzchung, the company is in some serious problems. It’s high probability then that they themselves have started to leak out Diablo 4 information to get at least some good press out there. Well, the game will supposedly be showcased at Blizzcon 2019, along with multiple other Diablo related projects.
