Not much has been heard of Ubisoft’s yet to be release game Skull & Bones since it was announced in 2017. However, it appears that Ubisoft are confident in the upcoming title as THR report that Skull & Bones will be getting a TV series with a female lead. The project will be developed by Ubisoft’s film and television division, and Atlas Entertainment.
Though a few eyebrows have been raised considering the rather unsuccessful movie adaptation of another Ubisoft game, Assassin’s Creed, it’s difficult to know what to expect considering the lack of information on the upcoming game. If any indication, the pirate adventure genre had previously been explored by the successful TV series Black Sails, a series that some suggest took inspiration from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.
More details on the project are expected to follow in the upcoming weeks. On the other hand, Skull & Bones is expected to release this year on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
