Dragonball FighterZ Gets Its Latest Fighter With SSJ4 Gogeta

An uber-powerful character from Dragonball GT is joining the battle in Dragonball FighterZ — SSJ4 Gogeta, born from the fusion between two "equally-powered" Super Saiyans. But some see its entry as a cause for imbalance even to a game that inhabits some of the most overwhelming figures ever conceived in anime.

Dragonball FighterZ Gets Its Latest Fighter With SSJ4 Gogeta

The overall playable roster in Dragonball FighterZ continues to expand as it sees SSJ4 Gogeta entering the fray.

Essentially the result of the fusion between SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta, SSJ4 Gogeta is the overpowering character from the GT saga. Anyone who does not own a Season Pass will have to pay $4.99 to purchase the character individually as a DLC. Consequently, doing so will render five color variants for the fighter and other additional in-game stuff, like lobby avatar and Z-stamp.

Alternatively, anyone who is seeking to save some bucks may want to purchase the third season DLC. At less than $5, buying each DLC fighter individually, buyers will get to acquire four other playable characters on top of SSJ4 Goku. Overall, the Season Pass comprises of the following: Kefla, Ultra Instinct Goku, Master Roshi, Super Baby 2, and SSJ4 Goku.

SSJ4 Gogeta’s entry into the Dragonball FighterZ is not without its controversy, however. With an ultimate attack that sees it dishing out multi-digit damage at the best-case scenario, more than enough to one-hit kill an opposing player. Let alone turn the tide of the battle at any given point. Inevitably, a critic like Maximillian Dood considers the notion rather “anti-esports”. But it’s not without its logical explanation, considering the fact that it embodies the exponential power born from two SSJ4s.
