Secure a Plaguebringer Captain’s Head

First, once The Pursuing Plague contract is activated the player must locate and sink a Plaguebringer. The quest markers do not naturally point to any location of Plaguebringers on the map. Plaguebringers are bedar ships that sport La Peste’s noxious green colors that usually lurk near trade routes attacking any and every craft on the sea. This walkthrough locates and eliminates two Plaguebringers to lure two Plaguehunter ships near Royal Burial Ground and Fort Louis, respectively.

Similarly, as detailed in previous guides for Peste Control and The African Ailment, Plaguebringers regularly attack merchant ships en route. The following outlines tracking down a Plaguebringer first near the outpost Royal Burial Ground east of Reef Sea; then sailing a ways down and back up towards Sainte Anne. There were two Plaguebringers to sink and thus two Plaguehunter ships found along the way.

Note: La Peste Schematics I furniture reveal The Fleet of Pestilance weak points. It would only be to the benefit of the player to include this furniture in their loadout. It increases overall damage to enemy ships by 10% to boot. This particular The Pursuing Plague guide features a ship that does not carry this furniture. All in all, this contract can be completed sans La Peste Schematics.
