Once a Barn Find rumor is unlocked, the game marks a large purple search area on your map. Drive into the zone, find the hidden barn, trigger the cutscene, and wait for the car to be restored before you can use it.
There are 15 Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 6, with cars spread across regions like Ohtani, Ito, Nangan, Minamino, Hokubu, Takashiro, and Shimanoyama.
1. How Barn Finds Work in Forza Horizon 6
Barn Finds are hidden classic and rare cars stored inside abandoned barns across Japan. You cannot collect all of them from the beginning. First, you need to unlock the correct Discover Japan Stamp level. If you find a barn before the rumor is active, the car will not be available yet.
Treasure Cars are separate collectibles and can be claimed immediately, while Barn Finds need restoration time unless you pay credits to speed up the process.
- Earn Discover Japan points and unlock new Stamp levels.
- Wait for a Barn Find rumor to appear.
- Drive to the purple search circle on the map.
- Search dirt roads, forests, hills, fields, and landmarks inside the circle.
- Drive up to the barn to trigger the recovery cutscene.
- Wait for the car to be restored, or pay credits to speed up the repair.
2. How to Earn Discover Japan Stamps
You need Discover Japan Stamps to unlock Barn Find rumors in Forza Horizon 6. Barns do not work just because you drive to the correct building early. The rumor must be active first, and each new Stamp level reveals more Barn Find search areas on your map.

4. Best Tips to Find Barn Finds Faster
Barn Finds are easier when you search by Stamp requirement, region, and landmark instead of driving randomly through the purple circle. Most barns are near dirt roads, forest paths, farmland edges, hills, logging areas, or wooded clearings.
- Unlock the Barn Find rumor first. If the rumor is not active, the barn will not work even if you find the building.
- Check dirt roads and unmarked tracks first because many barns sit at the end of small paths.
- Use Drone Mode inside the purple search area if the barn is hidden behind trees or terrain. Use Drone Mode for searching Barn Find circles.
- Use an off-road car for forest, farm, hill, and mountain search areas.
- Clear nearby Treasure Cars while you are in the same region so you do not need to return later.
- Wait for restoration after finding a barn, or pay credits from the Barn Finds menu if you want the car immediately.
- Reach Gold / Master Explorer in Discover Japan if you want all 15 Barn Finds, including the Tomica Skyline and Mazda 787B.
