Diablo IV – The Best Endgame Sorcerer Unique Items

These are the unique items that you should be chasing for in the long run in Diablo IV. Items play a big role in a character's survivability and efficiency. Unique items are without a doubt endgame equipment and it can be somewhat worth using them over the desirable Rare and Legendaries that you'll hunt throughout your journey.

Diablo IV - The Best Endgame Sorcerer Unique Items

As a Sorcerer main who has a level 100 Sorcerer, I can easily list you the best Unique items for this beloved class from the Diablo series. I’ll be honest here, most of the Sorcerer exclusive Unique items are not good.

Due to these reasons, I’m going to include both the Uniques that can be dropped for all classes and Uber Uniques. The Uber Uniques are basically these nearly impossible to find unique items that only a few margin have acquired them.

Unique items have a certain color that'll appear when dropped on the ground.

I simply want to make this ranking list interesting. Diablo IV does have a decent amount of items that the Sorcerer can use for their farming efficiency, but which ones are worth using for the endgame? Well, it’s time for me to reveal the best items. The list will start out from being the least useful to the most useful.

Before you start reading further into the list, I’d recommend you to look at this page of Unique Items and Uber Uniques in Diablo IV. It’s there to help you see the overall stats of the various unique items I’ll be ranking. Also, check out some of our other Diablo IV content:

Mother’s Embrace

For the first worthy unique to be mention is none other than Mother’s Embrace. This ring is simply okay, and it is rewarded when you first complete the story campaign. It does have its useful attributes, and I would mostly value its aspect if I was playing an Ice Shards Sorcerer. Ice Shards Sorcerer are generally mana hungry, and having that Resource refund is a nice quality of life. Also, it comes with Critical Strike Damage which is one of the most desirable affix you can have on a ring. I remember not being able to find many good rings during my time in World Tier 3: Nightmare, and Mother’s Embrace was fairly decent during those stages. Despite being a decent item overall, it’s not an item you want to use as you progress further into the endgame or reaching World Tier 4: Torment

Iceheart Brais

Iceheart Brais is a rather interesting pair of pants. In Diablo IV, pants are generally desirable for offering defensive stats like damage reduction or dodge chance. Iceheart Brais doesn’t offer much of that, and is more reliant on being an offensive or crowd control oriented item. There is a juicy aspect that it comes with and that is the ability to cast a random Frost Nova on frozen enemies when they are killed. Frost Nova is easily one of the best spells for the Sorcerer skill tree. The fact that you can freeze enemies and allowing yourself to do extra damage is too desirable to not have it in your skill slot.

I managed to find one with the magic number on its armor...

With that mentioned, it is nice to have an item that can cast it again. The chance for it to cast on frozen enemies is 11 to 20 percent and I would say that’s a decent range for its efficiency. Some Sorcerer players might prefer the standard Rare pants you can find in the world, but Iceheart Brais’ Frost Nova aspect might be worth trying it out if you do plan on running some lower tier Nightmare Dungeons or regular dungeons for gold and crafting material farming. I would definitely recommend the Teleport Enchantment while using this item.

Esu’s Heirloom

‍Esu’s Heirloom is what I call the “crit boots.” These boots are mostly desirable for the increased Critical Strike Chance when you have bonus movement speed. You do get bonus movement speed by evading, so that’ll allow you to do more damage and it does come with a stat where if you kill an Elite monster, you get bonus movement speed. These boots are all about offensive capability and is certainly nice on an Arc Lash Sorcerer.

You can never have too much Critical Strikes.

You can never have too much Critical Strikes.

A pair of Rare boots will most likely give you more quality of life type of stats, but if you’re looking for raw and hard hitting damage, ‍Esu’s Heirloom is simply the way to go. Also, it’s Critical Strike Chance has recently been buffed on the latest patch.

Penitent Greaves

These pair of boots are certainly interesting and they do allow some interesting synergy within the Sorcerer skill tree and Paragon glyphs. The most interesting part of the item is the aspect. It allows the player to be able to chill enemies and do a certain amount of extra damage towards them and this can be taken advantage of if you play as the Sorcerer. In the Sorcerer skill tree, you do have Hoarfrost which is a passive skill that allows you do additional damage to chilled and frozen targets.

Without a doubt, these boots will also work well if you use the Elementalist or Frostbite glyph for the increased damage on elemental and chilled targets. Basically, you can create a build that can stack upon both Elemental and Chill damage to your strengths. It also has good stats on quality of life like faster movement speed and crowd control duration. All in all, Penitent Greaves is going to be desirable for a Sorcerer that likes to have a build emphasized over crowd control and dealing cold damage.

Andariel’s Visage

Here’s the first Uber Unique that finally gets mentioned and if you’re an avid Diablo II player, you’ll certainly recognize Andariel’s Visage. It was always a desirable helm for mercenaries in that game, and in Diablo IV, it still have its value. I personally believe this helm is best fit for an Arc Lash Sorcerer. It is rough that the helmet doesn’t include Cooldown Reduction or Crowd Control Duration, but that life steal is absolutely juicy for survivability purposes and the increased attack speed is also nice too. It is also the only item that gives the player any sort of life steal. The Poison Nova aspect seems rather nice to soften the enemies a bit before you finish them off too.

The problem with this item is you probably might not ever find one to actually see it being used, but who knows, maybe the developers will eventually be nice to the players and make the drop rates on these desirable uniques more reasonable in the future.

Ring of Starless Skies

If you play any mana hungry Sorcerer builds, Ring of Starless Skies is immediately going to grab your attention with all the stats it provides. It has both Critical Strike Chance and Damage which is absolutely fantastic. It increases your Core Skill Damage which is wonderful and it comes with some Lucky Hit which you can take advantage of that in your passive skill trees. But the juiciest part is simply the aspect itself. The fact that you reduce the mana cost of your Core Skills by a certain amount makes it great for the offensive capability. This ring will be sought after among Ice Shards and Chain Lightning Sorcerer players.

Harlequin Crest

As an avid Diablo II player, this item is a classic and one of the most beloved ones. It’s called Harlequin Crest, but most of us like to call it “Shako.” This helmet is simply what you call an amazing item with so many attractive stats like the Cooldown Reduction or the heavy amount of maximum life. But the best part is its aspect where it also applies damage reduction and gives players a whopping 4 to all skills. The Diablo IV version does pay tribute to some of its stats to the Diablo II version of it, and that’s the main reason why it’s so great. Hopefully, someday we will be able to see our characters rock that beloved green cap.

Raiment of the Infinite

Without a doubt, the best item for the Sorcerer is by far an item that’s actually realistic to find and is certainly a big power spike to the character itself. ‍Raiment of the Infinite is simply the best in slot choice for an Arc Lash Sorcerer and if you’re not playing that build, its aspect is so good that it’s hard to give it up for a Rare armor with a Legendary aspect. Sorcerers are heavily reliant on crowd controlling an enemy, and the fact that Teleport allows you to somewhat vacuum the mobs together for better positioning, helps the Sorcerer to do respectable damage to large crowd of hostile threats. It is also an item that doesn’t have any sort of bad affix on it, but you definitely want to Teleport stun length to roll close as perfect as you can. Some players might go for a more defensive approach, but the heavy offensive capability that Raiment of the Infinite offers can help your defensive value.

I've lost count how many Raiments I found...

I’ve lost count how many Raiments I found…

That is all for my list of ranking the best unique items you can use for your Sorcerer. There’s no doubt that Rare and Legendary items are going to be more desirable overall in Diablo IV’s current state, but there are some uniques that are still worth using if you manage to get your hands on them. Time will tell if Blizzard do plan on buffing the existing Sorcerer uniques to make them more interesting when it comes to reaching to endgame as a Sorcerer.
