2. World of Warcraft’s New Housing System
One interesting addition in Midnight is the new housing system. Similar to the housing system in Final Fantasy 14, players will be able to purchase plots of land, build their homes, decorate, and change the exterior of their homes.
- Housing is available to everyone who bought the expansion beginning February 26, 2026.
- No lotteries or limited land.
- All decor is account wide.
- Visiting and living is available across factions.
- Homes are either in the Alliance’s Founder’s Point or the Horde’s Razorwind Shores.
- Each house resides in a neighborhood made of 55 plots.
- Plots can be in the city, the suburbs, or the country, depending on the population density chosen by the player.
- Plots can be in a variety of biomes.
- Public and Private neighborhoods available.
- Private neighborhoods need ten players minimum and can have up to 55.
- Endeavors are available by neighborhood.
- Blood Elf and Night Elf exteriors will not be available until 12.0 on March 3rd.
- You can move your home for free to a new plot at any time.
- Land costs 1,000 gold, but the first one is free.
2.1 What are Endeavors?
Endeavors are group quests that need to be completed by a neighborhood working together. They are a collection of tasks, and they can be completed by both private and public neighborhoods.
- Endeavors are designed to give players the “opportunity to learn from various cultures and factions of Azeroth.”
- Endeavors occur approximately once a month.
- In Public neighborhoods, servers choose the active Endeavors.
- In Private neighborhoods, the players choose from a selection of Endeavors.
- The more tasks completed, the more NPCs show up with decorations for inhabitants.
- The number of tasks needed scales with the number of people who live in the neighborhood.
- Less active neighborhoods also scale down the number of tasks need in subsequent Endeavor events.
2.2 Decorations and More
Now that you have a plot and have placed your exterior, you will now be able to start placing decorations. The decor will have very detailed placing and lenient rules so you can make your home perfect.
- You can add new rooms to your home.
- Leveling your home increases the number of rooms that can be added.
- Decor can be dyed different colors.
- Decor can be rotated.
- Most decorations can be resized.
- Decor can be purchased from vendors, the auction house, by defeating raids, and other quests and in-game events.
- Exteriors can also be edited, dyed, and rearranged.
- There are basic layouts for exteriors that can be imported.
3. All About the Haranir Race
