Were you one of the fans that were looking forward to the updated campaign, but felt disappointed by Blizzard’s incompetence? There is a fan that’s trying to redeem that issue.
InsaneMonster has just finished the Human campaign portion for his project titled Warcraft III: Re-Reforged. A trailer was released on December 10. Players can expect what Blizzard promised for their remastered version of Warcraft III. New cutscenes, and reimagined campaign missions for Warcraft campaign lovers.
It is currently playable and all it requires the player to do is to visit Hive Workshop, and simply download the campaign. You must have a copy of Warcraft III: Reforged to play this mod as it is simply a custom campaign. The base game will not be able to support it.
InsaneMonster has currently finished the Prologue and Human portion of the campaign. There is plans for the Undead side, but for the rest of the campaign content is up to his Patreon supporters.
All reimagined content is for the Reign of Chaos campaign which is the non-expansion version of Warcraft III. The Prologue content was originally on the demo version of Warcraft III. Blizzard has included all of its content for Reforged. The official version of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos only included two out of the five missions. The campaigns are similar to the Starcraft’s campaign as it has the player controlling different factions with their own characters thrown together. GameSpot cited the campaign to be “exciting and memorable” back when it was reviewed in 2002.
Recently, Blizzard did patch the game to its latest version, 1.34.0, on the first of December. It mostly added quality of life features to the game including Clans and fixing technical issues.
