ARC Raiders – How to Get Rascal Blueprint

Learn where to farm the Rascal blueprint, which containers to prioritize, what you need to craft it, and when the grenade launcher is worth bringing into a raid.

ARC Raiders - How to Get Rascal BlueprintThe Rascal is a Rare blue-tier grenade launcher added in the ARC Raiders Patch 1.29.0. It is a lighter, cheaper anti-ARC launcher made for players who want explosive ARC damage without carrying a full Hullcracker. It is not a Legendary blueprint with one exact location.

Prioritize Hurricane Caches routes first, then supplement those runs with Raider Caches, Security Breach cabinets, locked key rooms, weapon cases, and grenade tubes. If Hurricane is not active, use safer alternatives like Riven Tides Beachcombing or high-loot conditions such as Night Raid while you keep checking those container types.

1. What Is the Rascal in ARC Raiders?

Shooting Arc with Rascal

The Rascal is a Rare grenade launcher designed as a budget anti-ARC weapon. It is weaker than the Hullcracker, but it is lighter, easier to carry, and can be found naturally while looting. That makes it useful as a sidearm for ARC enemies rather than a full replacement for a dedicated launcher.

The weapon has a heavy projectile drop and is not a good long-range launcher. It works better at close or medium range, especially when you can peek from cover, fire, reload, and repeat.

The best way to farm the Rascal blueprint is to run Hurricane / First Wave Cache routes first, then supplement those runs with Raider Caches, Security Breach cabinets, locked key rooms, and weapon containers.

First Wave Caches are the strongest general blueprint target because they can contain blueprints, weapons, ammo, grenades, healing items, shields, quick-use items, and weapon attachments.

  1. Queue into a map with the Hurricane modifier.
  2. Search for First Wave Caches / Hurricane Caches first.
  3. Check nearby Raider Cache spawn points while moving through the route.
  4. Open Security Breach cabinets if you have the skill.
  5. Check locked key rooms when you have a matching key.
  6. Search weapon crates, long gun cases, and grenade tubes.
  7. Run Riven Tides Beachcombing when Hurricane is not available or when you want a safer alternate route.
  8. Extract immediately if the Rascal blueprint drops.

3. Best Rascal Blueprint Locations

Because the Rascal blueprint can drop across maps, plan routes that stack several blueprint-friendly sources in one raid. Start with Hurricane cache routes, then add nearby locked rooms, Security Breach cabinets, and weapon containers from the table.

4. Can You Buy the Rascal Blueprint?

Ermal Trader

Ermal Trader

Do not farm Tian Wen for the Rascal blueprint. The trader worth checking is Ermal, the Nomadic Envoy. His stock rotates weekly and can include blueprints. This does not guarantee the Rascal blueprint will appear, but you should check him every reset while farming containers.

  1. Check Ermal after weekly reset.
  2. Look through his blueprint trades.
  3. Buy the Rascal blueprint if it appears.
  4. Keep farming high-value containers if it is not available.

6. Is the Rascal Worth Using?

Shooting Leaper

Shooting Leaper

Keep the Rascal as a low-risk ARC backup, not your main launcher. Bring it when you want explosive damage for smaller ARC threats without risking a Hullcracker, but swap to heavier gear for dedicated ARC-killing runs.

It’s a one-shot reload, projectile drop, and range limits punish missed shots, so it works best at close or medium range from cover.

Rascal Strengths

The Rascal works best as a lightweight backup launcher for raids where you want anti-ARC damage without risking heavier gear. It is not the strongest launcher in the game, but it gives you a practical way to deal with ARC enemies when you find one or need a cheaper option.

  • Rare anti-ARC launcher.
  • Lighter than the Hullcracker.
  • Can appear in normal loot.
  • Works well as a backup ARC sidearm.
  • Cheaper to risk in PvP-heavy raids.
  • Useful against Wasps, Hornets, Shredders, Bombardiers, and Bastions.

Rascal Weaknesses

The Rascal has clear trade-offs, so it should not be treated as a full Hullcracker replacement. Its reload speed, projectile drop, and range limitations make it better as a backup weapon than a main launcher for serious ARC-killing runs.

  • One shot before every reload.
  • Heavy bullet drop.
  • Weak at long range.
  • Slower than the Hullcracker across repeated shots.
  • Needs accurate hits to perform well.
  • Not the best choice for large ARC-killing loadouts.
