Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: Shaymin Mystery Gift
Pokémon BDSP players can now receive a mystery gift that will allow them to catch the mythical Pokémon Shaymin. After picking up Oak’s Letter, one can find Professor Oak standing next to a stone tablet on route 224. Then upon speaking with him, Shaymin will appear. Shaymin has two formes, the Land Forme which is Grass Type, and the Sky Forme which is Grass/Flying Type. This is a reprisal of the Oak’s Letter Mystery Gift from Pokémon Platinum back in Gen 4.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Daybreak Update
After a successful launch, Pokémon Legends: Arceus has received new content in a package called Daybreak. Interestingly, Daybreak is not labeled as DLC. The video refers to it as a “Software Update,” and states that it is available to players at no cost. Daybreak adds a new objective in which players investigate trends of Pokémon outbreaks. It also adds a new kind of battling with allied Pokémon at the training grounds.
Hisui Online Animated Series
This Pokémon Presents video also announced a new online animated series that takes place in the Hisui region. The only details provided besides the below picture are that it will feature an original storyline and is scheduled to launch later in 2022.

Best Moment: Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet
Now for the big, earth-shattering, best moment of Pokémon Presents February 27th, 2022. Pokémon Generation 9 was announced! Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are scheduled to release late in 2022. The trailer opens with a Night Watchman in the Game Freak Studio on one of his rounds. Then he stumbles across some mysterious activity coming from a dark room. Upon entering the room, he has a vision of Pokémon in vast new landscapes, including grasslands, a desert, and wetlands. Then a light shines upon a picture of Gen 9’s starters, which is shown at the beginning of this article. They’re a feline-ish Grass Type named Sprigatito, a dinosaur-inspired Fire Type named Fuecoco, and a waterfowl-esque Water Type named Quaxly. They look quite appealing.

The big question is, what real-world place is Gen 9’s setting going to be based on? There are some clues hidden in the trailer that keen-eyed viewers may have spotted. Further details about the setting will likely surface soon.
