Metroid Prime 4 has been one of the biggest mystery games for the Nintendo Switch since 2017. The previous trailers released by Nintendo only showcased that Metroid Prime 4 was in production. Metroid Prime 4, at one point during development, was restarted by Rare.
The game looks fantastic in the trailer. The audience sees four different locations in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.
These include where Samus first lands, later on at the entrance of a base seeing a constant barrage of lasers and explosives on what is the equivalent of a futuristic C-RAM, deep inside the base where Samus confronts Sylux, and the vast forest shown at the very end with a massive tree climbing up into the clouds.
The trailer mixed in portions of gameplay with more cinematic scenes.
With the spotty development history, this trailer is reassuring that the extra time Rare needed was worth it. The Nintendo Switch gave the project time by trickling out other Metroid titles on the console.
With Metroid Prime 4: Beyond finally receiving a release window, are you excited to take control of Galactic Bounty Hunter in 2025? If you’re looking to bide your time, the Nintendo Switch has become a hub of Metroid games with six different games following the adventures of Samus Aran.
And, with the timing of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and the supposed launch window for the Nintendo Switch II, the Metroid series might find itself in the favorable position The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild had, launching cross-generations.
