Detroit: Become Human is the most recent Playstation 4 exclusive title coming from developer Quantic Dream promising a deep narrative focused on androids and their struggle to prove they have emotions just like the rest of humanity. The game has three main characters players can play as each with their own gripping stories to tell. The game is scheduled to be released in May but a new demo for the game is available for players through the Playstation Store.
The demo focuses on the hostage scene that was shown off during multiple trailers for the game. The demo allows players to step into the shoes of investigator android Connor. Players are tasked with saving a young girl from being thrown from a skyscraper. The beauty of the demo is that it can play out in many different ways depending on how the player chooses to interact with the man holding the girl hostage.
The demo has multiple endings based upon your decisions during this hostage situation. Those familiar with Quantic Dream's other titles know that the story can take many twists and turns depending on your choices both in conversation and in gameplay as well. This fascinating look into a possible future for humanity and what technology will create is the crux of Detroit: Become Human's narrative structure. The game will be released on May 25 on Playstation 4.
