How to Get Cherrim in Pokemon Legends Arceus
There are three ways to get Cherrim in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:
- Throwing Pokemon at specific shaking berry trees
- Evolving a Cherubi into a Cherrim
- Trading with a friend
It is possible to obtain a Cherrim by trading with a friend. However, this requires both players to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. If you can trade with somebody, head to the Trading Post located to the left of Galaxy Hall in Jubilife Village and speak with Simona to start the swap.
If you aren’t trading, the only way to get a Cherrim is to encounter one by hitting a shaking tree in certain areas. Or, you can find a Cherubi with this same method, and then evolve it. It’s highly recommended to look for a Cherubi instead and then evolve it into a Cherrim, due to Cherrim’s very low spawn chance.
Where to Find Cherrim and Cherubi in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Cherrim and Cherubi can only be encountered in the wild by throwing a Pokemon at a shaking berry tree. When hit, berry trees spawn a different Pokemon depending on what region they are in. There are three regions in Pokemon Legends: Arceus where you can find Cherrim and Cherubi:
- Obsidian Fieldlands in the Heartwood location
- Crimson Mirelands in the Gapejaw Bog location
- Coronet Highlands in the Lonely Spring, Primeval Grotto, and Fabled Spring locations
The two best locations to quickly find Cherrim or Cherubi is Heartland in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and Lonely Spring in the Coronet Highlands. These are the quickest locations to travel to and check for a shaking tree.
The shaking tree that has a guaranteed Cherubi or Cherrim spawn in the Obsidian Fieldlands is located near the Alpha Lopunny. This is all the way to the west of the Heartland area. The trees that have a high chance of spawning a Cherrim or Cherubi in the Coronet Highlands can be found around the Lonely Spring area. This is located to the east, right beside the Mountain Camp.
- Shaking tree beside the Alpha Lopunny map location.
- Shaking trees beside Mountain Camp map location.
If there are no shaking trees after traveling to either location, follow the method below to quickly force one to spawn.
Best Method To Quickly Get Cherrim in Pokemon Legends Arceus
You can significantly reduce the time it takes to find a Cherrim and complete the To Bloom or Not to Bloom Request by following these exact steps:
- Travel to the Heartwood tree in the Obsidian Fieldlands region and check if it’s shaking
- If it’s not shaking, go to the Lonely Spring trees in the Coronet Highlands and check if they are shaking
- Head back to Jubilife Village if none of the trees are shaking, and rest in your quarters until night. This resets berry tree spawns
- Repeat the first two steps until two Cherrim or two Cherubi are caught
You must catch two in order to complete all the steps required to reach Research Level 10. Alternatively, catch just one if you are willing to wait until Cherrim reaches Level 47 and learns Petal Dance. You can also give the Pokemon Exp. Candies instead until it grows to Level 47.
If you were lucky enough to catch two Cherrim, you only need to use an Agile Style move fifteen times to reach Level 10. It’s recommended to go to the Obsidian Fieldlands and spam the move on low-leveled Bidoof and Starly.
Those who caught 2 Cherubi will need to wait until it evolves into Cherrim at Level 25. This won’t take much time as long as it is in your Party or you use Exp. Candies. Evolve both, and then use an Agile Style Move fifteen times with one of them.
Report your findings to Professor Laventon at any camp, then head back to Kichi by the Farm in Jubilife Village to finally complete Request 17 To Bloom or Not to Bloom. You will receive 5 Vivichokes as a reward, and the satisfaction of finally clearing this annoying side quest.
