Hallow Scythe is no exception, and you’ll need some drop luck to get it. However, the Hallow Scythe is a top-tier sword to have in your inventory with fast attacks and good mobility. Go to the Haunted Castle
First, go to the Haunted Caste in the Third Sea, where you can obtain Hallow Scythe in Blox Fruits. Haunted Caste is easy to find by looking out for its large Jolly Roger (skull and crossbones) flag when sailing. You can get there quickly by hopping on a boat from Castle on the Sea in the center of the Third Sea.
Note that Haunted Castle includes enemies in the 1,975-2,075 level range. You will need to kill many standard enemies at Haunted Castle and a level 2,100 Soul Reaper raid boss to obtain the Hallow Scythe in Blox Fruits. You must be at a minimum level of 1,500 to obtain Hallow Scythe (for purchasing Random Surprises), but I recommend a character level of at least 1,975.

Obtain Hallow Essence
You will need Hallow Essence to summon the Soul Reaper at Haunted Castle. First, you must kill these enemies to amass Bones for purchasing Random Surprises from the Death King:
- Reborn Skeleton
- Living Zombie
- Possessed Mummy
- Demonic Soul
Those enemies have a 33% bone drop chance. It’s best to kill Possessed Mummy enemies for this purpose because they drop the most bones. Demonic Soul enemies drop about 3-5 bones per kill.
When you’ve collected at least 50 Bones (and you’ll probably need many more), speak to the Death King in the mausoleum building at Haunted Castle’s graveyard. Select to purchase a Random Surprise for 50 bones. You will then receive one of the following seven random items of varying rarity:
- beli (standard currency)
- fragments
- Sunhat accessory
- Bear Ears
- x2 EXP bonus
- Fire Essence (needed for obtaining Dragon Talon)
- Hallow Essence

Alas, Hallow Essence is an item of legendary rarity you’ll seldom receive from a Random Surprise. So, you’ll probably need to purchase numerous Random Surprises to get Hallow Essence (unless you’re lucky). I recommend amassing 300-500 bones to purchase multiple Random Surprises.
Summon and Defeat the Soul Reaper
- When you eventually get Hallow Essence from a Random Surprise, you’ll see it alongside your other item boxes. Select to hold the Hallow Essence item, which is like a fireball.
- Take Hallow Essence to the altar beside the graveyard, shown directly below, and place it there. Placing Hallow Essence in that alter will summon the Soul Reaper raid boss.

- You’ll see a Soul Reaper energy bar appear when you’ve summoned that boss. To find and fight that boss, go up the stairs inside the Haunted Castle building and walk along the bridge that leads to the room that includes the Soul Reaper.
- Now go and defeat the Soul Reaper.
Soul Reaper may or may not drop the Hallow Scythe when defeated. However, you probably won’t get the Hallow Scythe the first time you kill that boss because there’s only a 5% drop chance for that sword. Most players will need to summon and defeat Soul Reaper multiple times to get the Hallow Scythe in Blox Fruits from him. With average luck, you might need to kill Soul Reaper 10-20 times, which makes obtaining the Scythe a bit of a grind lottery.

Have Fun With the Hallow Scythe
When you finally get your hands on the Hallow Scythe in Blox Fruits, have fun annihilating enemies with it. You’ll discover a sword with very fast attacks and good mobility, which makes it strong for grinding. Unlock its Death Cyclone and Soul Execution movesets at 150 and 350 mastery levels to unleash black tornadoes and explosive dash attacks on foes.
