Level Up Dark Step to 400 Mastery
A 400-mastery level of the Dark Step fighting style is a requirement for obtaining Death Step in Blox Fruits. If you don’t already have Dark Step, you can purchase it from the Dark Step Teacher for $150,000 beli at Hot and Cold. Go to the hot island there, where you’ll find the Dark Step Teacher in front of one of the buildings. Select to purchase Dark Step and level up that fighting style to the required 400 mastery by killing many enemies with it.
Amass $2,500,000 Beli and 5,000 Fragments
You’ll also need $2,500,000 beli and 5,000 fragments to purchase Death Step from Phoeyu, the Reformed. Complete quests and open many chests to amass the $2,500,000 beli needed to purchase Death Step. You can also amass beli by killing bosses and Sea Beasts.
A Blox Fruit raid
The best way to amass the 5,000 fragments needed for Death Step in Blox Fruits is to complete standard raids. Completing a raid in good time will give you 1,000 fragments. How to Obtain Death Step in the Second Sea
You can obtain Death Step in the Second Sea at the Ice Castle location, where there are enemies in the 1,325-1,425 level range. Buy a boat and go to the Ice Castle near the Ice Village location. Head toward the island with the big castle on it.

Next, you’ll need to obtain the Library Key to unlock the door to the room that includes Phoeyu, the Reformed. The Library Key is randomly dropped by the Awakened Ice Admiral boss in the Ice Castle building when you defeat him. There’s about a 10% chance this boss will drop the Library Key. So, you’ll probably need to defeat Ice Admiral a few times for that boss to drop the Library Key.
The Library Key will appear in an item box alongside your equipped weapons when Ice Admiral drops it. Click or tap the Library Key box to hold that item. Then, walk to the door with the keyhole on it, shown in the snapshot below. This is the door on your right side when you enter the castle.

Walking up to that locked door with the Library Key will unlock it. You can then enter a room that includes Phoeyu, the Reformed. Talk to Phoeyu, who will offer to sell Death Step for $2,500,000 beli and 5,000 fragments if you’ve reached 400 mastery for Dark Step. Select to purchase Death Step.

How to Obtain Death Step in the Third Sea
If you’ve reached the Third Sea, you can purchase Death Step in Blox Fruits from Phoeyu, the Reformed at Castle on the Sea. This is an easier way to obtain that fighting style because you don’t need any hidden key there. You’ll find Phoeyu, the Reformed in an accessible room within the main building at the Castle on the Sea alongside other fighting-style teachers.

When you’ve obtained Death Step in Blox Fruits, you’ll appreciate that it’s a better fighting style than Dark Step. You can unleash the Rocket Kick, Wind Bullet, Vermillion Drill, and Maximum Overheat attacks with this fighting style. You’ll also need Death Step with 400 mastery to unlock Godhuman in the Third Sea, one of the very best fighting styles in the game.
