Mobius Wave – Owen Wilson Wilswim

This first deck isn’t where Mobius shines best, but it definitely is extremely meta at the moment. Not only do you get to benefit from Wave and your opponent doesn’t, but you’ve got plenty of win conditions that keep your options open. It seems like this deck usually knows how to slither its way out of sticky situations so let’s check it out. The deck list is as follows:

  • Nightcrawler
  • Mobius M. Mobius
  • Kraven
  • Angela
  • Jeff (or Kitty Pryde)
  • Silk (or Jean Grey, Daredevil)
  • Wave
  • Spider-Man
  • Spider-Man Miles Morales
  • Aero (or Gamora, Professor X)
  • Doctor Doom
  • Alioth (or Leader)

Before we get into replacements, its important to understand how the deck works. The main goal here is to boost both your Kraven and Angela by moving cards all across the board. This makes it extremely hard for your opponents to predict your plays. Furthermore, you’re able to play cards such as Jeff, Silk, Kraven, Nightcrawler and Spiderman onto Angela, then move them away. Doing so creates even more space for your Angela to get big.

Wave is a great control option, often limiting what your opponents can do. This is especially the case if they do not own Mobius. The plan is to Wave on turn 5 with priority then play Aera, Doctor Doom, or Alioth to win you the game. In most cases, you’ll definitely have priority due to your cheap cards that scale in power. Replacements could include Daredevil and Professor X for Aero and Silk. You could also play Kitty Pryde if you do not own Jeff.

Fun fact: the way Mobius works with Wave is extremely overpowered. If you play Silk and Wave on turn 5, you’re able to play Miles Morales and Aero on 6. Your opponents will only be able to play one card. This effect can be further utilized if you decide to include a Blackbolt/Stature package, but that fits better in the next deck list.

Of course, this is all without mentioning the fact that Mobius is extremely useful in countering locations such as Dream Dimension.

Mobius Zabu – Fight For The Firesale

A deck that is considered by most to be incredibly consistent, Zabu Darkhawk returns yet again. This time, being able to protect your Mobius by playing him underneath Cosmo. Additionally, you have the option of using Mystique to copy your ongoing cards into other lanes. This is the deck list:

  • Korg
  • Mobius M. Mobius
  • Zabu
  • Rockslide
  • Cosmo
  • Mystique (or Quinjet)
  • Moon Girl (or White Queen, Nick Fury, Agent Coulson)
  • Iron Lad (or Captain Marvel)
  • Darkhawk
  • Enchantress (or Rogue)
  • Shang-Chi
  • Devil Dinosaur

A deck full of power, this will take you far on ladder. The best thing about this deck is that it is extremely versatile. You could fit in a Wave/Blackbolt/Stature package in there or even Loki/Collector. You could lean heavier into the Dino side of things or even replace it with Ronan. At the end of the day, this deck works no matter what your playstyle is, giving you freedom and flexibility. Furthermore, you could focus more on building an ongoing deck list, featuring Spectrum, Professor X, Klaw, and more!

Iron Lad hitting your Mobius is extremely valuable but you can swap him out for Captain Marvel if you wish. Including Quinjet would be great, but seeing as how everyone is going to be playing Mobius, it’s rare that you’ll get to actually use its effect. Instead, Mobius acts as a tech card, protecting you from cost increases. This deck is easy-to-use and really fun. Also, apart from Lad and Zabu, all the cards are Series 3 so you won’t have to worry about being unable to play it. Zabu was in the previous Spotlight Cache so hopefully you managed to grab him!

Mobius Sera – Hit (and Run) Monkey

A classic deck that never really goes out of style, Sera Control is still prominent. Fans of this deck will be relieved to learn that you could simply include Rogue or Mobius in your lists to counter your opponent’s Mobius. Furthermore, getting Wave-ed on turn 5 is no longer an issue when you’ve got Mobius on your side. Of course, you could also add Doom or Chavez to act as a Turn 6 play after Wave, if your opponent also has Mobius or if you did not draw him. Let’s take a look at the deck:

  • Snowguard (or Bast)
  • Kitty Pryde
  • Shadow King (or Shang-Chi)
  • Luke Cage (or Mirage)
  • Mobius M. Mobius
  • Mysterio
  • Angela
  • Hit-Monkey
  • Bishop
  • Wave
  • Rogue (or Enchantress, Doom, Chavez)
  • Sera

A bit different from your typical Sera control list, this version involves a lot of counters and lines of play. Not only can you use Shadow King to shut down the meta-relevant Collector decks out there, but he doesn’t affect your cards due to Luke Cage. On that note, a Cerebro deck could benefit Mobius also, but Cerebro is always a bit inconsistent to play which is why we did not include it. Nevertheless, Mobius is a tech card that can fit in almost every single deck.

The goal is to boost up your Angela and Bishop as you make your way to Turn 5. That’s when you put Sera down and simply fill the board with cards. You’ll find that you’ve got a huge Hit-Monkey and Bishop, making it almost impossible to overpower and predict. You could also Wave into Sera if you’d like. In general, Wave is an amazing option as the developers confirmed that any cards that cost less than 4 will not be increased to 4-cost.

Final Verdict – A Useful Tech Card No Matter the Deck

In conclusion, Mobius M. Mobius seems to be an insanely good card, fitting for a lot of different scenarios. The first week of play is going to be a bit chaotic, with basically everyone playing Mobius due to the hype. However, once the hype dies down, this card has the potential to be an incredibly sneaky play that your opponents can’t do much about. Hopefully, he does not get nerfed but do keep an eye out because the Wave/Mobius interaction sound really broken on paper.

Opening Spotlight Caches will give you the opportunity to obtain Mobius, High Evo, Kang, or 1000 tokens. Alternatively, you could buy series 3 card Mobius for 3000 Collector’s Tokens from the store. Either way, we can assure you that you will not regret your purchase. That being said, these were the best Mobius M. Mobius decks in Marvel Snap.
