The first update will arrive on December 3rd for all players with the online mode, allowing players to explore the full city of London with up to three friends. Ubisoft has promised that co-op will bring new exclusive missions that can only be played with companions known as Tactical Ops.
Watch Dogs: Legion will also be the first in the hacker franchise to include a PvP mode. Spider-Bot Arena is described as a “hectic, high-intensity, free-for-all, deathmatch”. It will be available with the launch of online, with more PvP modes coming in the future.
The newly improved online mode will also include dynamic events and the return of fan-favourite mode Invasion.
Players who do not purchase the season pass will receive plenty of free content to enjoy. New characters with new abilities will be added, alongside new story missions. Like most story games, new game plus will be added post-launch.
For players who purchase the season pass, they will gain access to the story expansion Watch Dogs: Legion Bloodline which continues the story of Aiden Pearce from the original Watch Dogs. Fan-favourite Wrench from Watch Dogs 2 will also be joining him as a fully playable character.
Season pass owners will also get access to four hero characters including Pearce and Wrench. The third character is Mina. Mina has the unique ability to control the mind of individuals. The final character is a crossover with Assassin’s Creed. Darcy, a member of the brotherhood will be available as a playable operative in Watch Dogs: Legion.
