The Switch shipped 1.97 million hardware units and 8.14 million software units during its past financial quarter between April 1st and June 30th, Nintendo announced today.
This brings the Switch's total up to 4.70 million hardware units shipped and 13.60 million software units shipped, making it on track to reach a total of 12.74 million units by March 31st, 2018.
3DS shipments during the same period were 0.95 million units for hardware and 5.85 million units for software, bringing its respective total up to 67.08 million consoles and 335.1 million games shipped. The 3DS' forecast remains unchanged as well.
Unfortunately, Switch units shipped could have reached a higher number if not for supply constraints. This being said, the console's issue is indicative of how many units sold through to consumers.
The Nintendo Switch launched on March 3rd, 2017 to fantastic results. Here's hoping it doesn't slow down anytime soon.
