Nintendo Switch Sold Over 906,000 Units in the US in March
Nintendo revealed via press release today that their newest console, the Nintendo Switch, has sold over 906,000 units in the United States last month, according to NPD data.

Additionally the publisher revealed that the newest game in the Zelda series, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, sold 1.3 million copies nationwide, of which 925,000 units were for Switch and nearly 460,000 units were for Wii U. Seeing as more Switch copies of the game were sold than the actual console, this could mean that many fans double-dipped on the game, perhaps purchasing multiple versions of it.

This news indicates that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the fastest-selling Nintendo launch game of all time, as well as the fastest-selling game ever in The Legend of Zelda series.

Nintendo of America’s President Reggie Fils-Aime stated in the release:

Nintendo always strives to offer consumers something fun, new and different. With its various play modes and the innovative features of the Joy-Con controllers, Nintendo Switch provides unique experiences that people can take with them anywhere and share with anyone.”

The release concludes by stating that as of now the publisher is struggling to keep up with demand of the console, but reassures readers that more systems are coming.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild scored a 10 out of 10 in our review, with its only drawback being that it didn't come out sooner.
