Game development giant Sega is announcing a mobile collaboration event between the Sonic the Hedgehog and Angry Birds franchises that will span across five games.
According to a recent trailer dropped on the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel, the two franchises will smash up in the mobile games Sonic Forces, Sonic Dash, Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Dream Blast, and Angry Birds Friends. The event will be held from March 14th-March 21st.
In a new press release, Rovio – the Finnish development team behind the popular Angry Birds franchise that was bought by Sega in 2023 – says the crossover event revolves around a portal opening up between the two worlds. The plot has Angry Birds character Red and Sonic the Hedgehog teaming up with all of their friends to take down Eggman across both universes.
