Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Release Date and Expansion Announced.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was one of those games that never really reached the heights it should have done, but THQ Nordic are breathing new life into this epic fantasy and giving it the second chance it deserves. Last month, they revealed that they would be releasing a remaster of the game called Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, and have recently announced the official release date and the unexpected news of an expansion.

Ever since the news broke of a remaster, fans have been waiting patiently for a release date. It was thought that it would be released next month after Amazon listed the release date as the 18th August, but THQ Nordic have confirmed that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be out on the 8th September 2020 in three editions: Standard Edition, Fate Edition, and Collector’s Edition. The Collector’s Edition includes an Alyn Shir figurine, a keychain, original artwork, the soundtrack, and a Collector’s Box.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will include the two add-ons from the original game (Teeth of Naros and Legend of Dead Kel), but that’s not all. THQ Nordic revealed that they are expanding on the original game with a brand new DLC in 2021 entitled Fatesworn. Their announcement gathered an outpouring of support from fans online who welcomed the unexpected news and expressed their excitement at more Amalur content in the future. As of yet, there are no details on what the new add-on might contain.

  1. Wow! I’ve been praying for this for years!
Talk about miraculous! This is my favorite game of all time (closely followed by Diablo 3)!
I suppose I can’t complain. But I un-mothballed my PS3 last week and just paid $35 for a digital version and a couple of add-ons. They got me. I’ll have to own this as well!
Haha… 3 out of my 4 ps3 controllers have bad batteries and one of my prized 2 original backwards compatible fat PS3s has been trying to rebuild its database for 4 days… But I finally started re playing it last night!
It will be so great to have this for PS4.
I almost wish they’d have waited for the PS5 because I won’t buy until it has a new skyrim or Diablo 4 available….or Amalur.
The name does suck tho. Really? That’s all they could come up with? Re-re-re whatever. 😉 Enjoy!!!
