Everywhere around us games are getting put out almost every month of the year. Horror, action games, RPG’s and more are surfacing to create 2024 a year of excitement. HoYoverse (previously known as MiHoYo), a famous anime-based gaming company that had been bought by a new brand from Greater China, is releasing a new game. Their goal with their company is to create a large virtual immersive universe for its players to enjoy. HoYoverse, or MiHoYo, had produced the famous game Genshin Impact that struck the world with force. They also produced the games Honkai Impact 3rd, Honkai: Star Rail, and Tears Of Themis, but are now adding another to their boards.
Zenless Zone Zero has been announced to come out on all sorts of platforms: Windows, PlayStation 5, and both iOS and Android. According to another article, Apple may have revealed the Zenless Zone Zero release date. As for the rest of the platforms, we are currently unsure.
What’s This Game About?
Zenless Zone Zero is a virtual game, coming to most platforms, that is set in the dystopian, urban-fantasy setting. According to the article “Exclusive: Zenless Zone Zero is HoYo’s next big gacha — and its already so different” by Kristine “Kurisu” Tuting, she says that “HoYoverse fans can expect plenty of fresh and exciting features in Zenless Zone Zero” (Tuting). In this game, apparently the producers are introducing a new type of dynamic to their game. Instead of having a companion with your character, for example Paimon in Genshin Impact, you as the character will accompany the strange forces to help stop the supernatural. As part of the survival group, you take on the battle to save your home from further destruction.
This game will be a fun one for those interested in post-apocalyptic settings. Having both the aspects of survival and saving the world, ZZZ seems like a fun game for RPG lovers and survival experts alike.
Are People Looking Forward to This Game?
Zenless Zone Zero have been looking forward to this game. Back in March, ZZZ had been released for a pre-registration. Many who have been in association with Genshin Impact will most likely look forward to this game. It seems like it has held up so far. Many players who are interested in RPG’s and survival games alike have taken heed. So far, Zenless Zone Zero has over 30M pre-registrants! According to the ZZZ official pre-registration page, there are gifts for how many players there is before the games release. And so far, with 30M pre-registrants, there are only four in game gifts. But, there are six in total if the amount of pre-registrants go up. The most that the goal can reach is 40 million.
You can watch the progress bar at the official website.
Many players seem to be excited for this game to come out, considering it’s similar to Genshin Impact. With a different story, game mechanics, and more, we can be sure that this game will be significantly different. After all, it is well anticipated. After the first release, many people were hesitant to play it. Many people are still confused about the story, as well, when they first play it. But, probably as the game continues, the story will get clearer. Of course, improvements are still getting cleaned up.
What Are Peoples Thoughts?
So far, many people have mixed feelings about the game. Even though it is anticipated among the community, people who have reviewed the game are still trying to figure it out. Granted, it is still in its beta phase so we should see an improvement after its release.
The YouTuber, Sarumonin, did a beta review on the game who MiYoHo (HoYoVerse)`reached out to. At the end of the video, “Is Zenless Zone Zero Worth Playing?” he lets the audience know his final thoughts about the game. He mentions that although he wasn’t a big fan of gacha games, he had a wonderful time playing the game. He enjoyed the animation styles and the look of the game. But, he says that “[he] still has zero clue what [the] game is about” even after playing it.
Another game reviewer, who goes by Iamrivenous, also released a beta review on Zenless Zone Zero called “A serious review on Zenless Zone Zeros CBT2 | ZZZ.” As he went through each aspect of the game, he tries to be neutral on those aspects. As he gets to his final review, he says that “Zenless Zone Zero is a good game, but it still has its flaws” which makes sense, considering like I’ve said before, that it’s still in its beta testing. Firstly, he says that the game starts off slow. From his experience, he says it takes a few hours to get to the meaningful areas of the game. Based on what we’ve heard from these two YouTubers, ZZZ is a still a work in progress game.
