Following yesterday’s reveal of Astra Yao as the first new Agent of Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5, Hoyoverse has dropped a second batch of drip marketing to showcase the next Agent coming to the game’s 1.5 version update. That Agent is Evelyn Chevalier, a mysterious character with ties to New Eridu’s most famous superstar.
Evelyn belongs to the Stars of Lyra, a new music-themed faction with Astra Yao at its head. According to the drip marketing, Evelyn is a new S-Rank Fire Attack Agent, making her the first limited Fire Attack Agent and only the second Agent with that combination alongside Soldier 11. Her design is strikingly similar to fan favourite Hoyoverse characters such as Yelan from Genshin Impact and Kafka from Honkai: Star Rail, which only adds to the appeal.

Based on quotes directed at Evelyn herself and remarks made by Astra in both sets of 1.5 drip marketing, Evelyn is Astra’s manager, albeit one more willing to get her hands dirty than most. She appears to have a complicated and shady past, which has given her the skill set to confidently protect Astra and a legion of enemies who wish to take advantage of her. Based on her brief appearance in the recent trailer at the Game Awards, Evelyn’s part in the 1.5 story will be just as important as Astra’s.
Drip marketing is a phrase used in gacha game circles to describe pieces of promotional material released before a unit’s kit is officially revealed. These images or videos are used to drum up hype for upcoming characters while also allowing players to change their spending or saving plans. For Hoyoverse games like ZZZ, Genshin Impact, or Star Rail, drip marketing drops a full version update before a unit becomes playable.
Evelyn will join Zenless Zone Zero alongside Astra when Version 1.5 launches in February 2025. Meanwhile, Miyabi and Harumasa will arrive in the game during the Version 1.4 update, which launches on December 18th.
