Alicia Vikander is said to be Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider reboot.
According to Variety, the Oscar-winning actress who starred in Ex Machina and The Danish Girl was the first choice for the role, despite rumours surrounding Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley. Sources have told the outlet the studio was waiting for a new draft of the script before making Vikander's involvement official.
The new reboot will be directed by Roar Uthaug. He has stated that the reboot will draw on inspiration from Square Enix’s new games and will have a Lara Croft character that feels "like a real human being."
Vikander is also coming up in the next Bourne movie alongside Matt Damon.
