How to Unlock Perspective Bender in Wuthering Waves

Most players should notice the Perspective Bender activity node relatively early on in Wuthering Waves as they’re exploring the Desorock Highlands for the first time. However, they’ll be unable to access it as the domain is hidden inside a locked-off section of the mountain range. Similar to other areas in WuWa, you must complete a quest to gain access to Perspective Bender and that quest is entitled Restart the Radar.

The starting point for this quest is at the Rearguard Base in the Desorock Highlands. There, you’ll find a member of the Midnight Rangers who seeks to repair the massive radar at the base but, to do so, he’ll need to visit several smaller bases around the Highlands. That’s where you come in and this quest follows your attempts to repair this gigantic radar dish in hopes of driving away any rogue Tacet Discords. It’s a fairly quick, and lucrative quest, awarding successful players with 500 Union EXP and 40 Astrite.

As a consequence of restarting the radar, the soundwaves emitted destroy a portion of the mountainside near where the Impermeanence Heron dwells. Fortunately, this also unearths the Perspective Bender domain, allowing you to finally unlock the secrets which dwell within.

The easiest way to reach Perspective Bender is to travel to the Resonance Beacon on the outskirts of the Impermeanence Heron boss fight. Once you arrive, turn left and keep going until you’re right above the domain symbol. Then, simply jump off the cliff and then glide into the newly made hole once you see the waterfall. This should take you right to the door of the Perspective Bender domain.

Perspective Bender Domain Guide

The Perspective Bender domain is a one-and-done set of puzzles in an activity called the Configurational Truth. This can be accessed from the Perspective Bender domain in the Desorock Highlands.

If you’re able to successfully escape the Configurational Truth and complete the Perspective Bender challenge, you’ll walk away with 50 Union EXP, 45 Astrite, 13,000 Shell Credits, a set of Training Pistols, 5 Premium Tuners, 10 Advanced Tuners, 5 Wood-Textured Shards, and several other upgrade materials. You’ll also unlock the Perspective Bender Trophy for an additional 5 Astrite.

Alongside the completion rewards, there are also three chests hidden throughout the puzzle which will give additional Astrite and rewards if you can track them down. Despite how short this domain can be, it’s quite lucrative in terms of rewards, making it a must-stop location for all Rovers.

Puzzle 1 Solution

The first puzzle in Perspective Bender introduces you to the main mechanic of the domain. On the wall, you’ll see a set of symbols which will either be white or black, with a matching set of symbols on the floor somewhere in the room. By Air Attacking these floor symbols, you can change them from black to white or vice-versa. Your goal throughout the entire domain is to track down these symbols and then match them up with the ones on the wall to proceed forward.

This first set of symbols is really simple as you just need to slam onto the larger white hexagon once. This will change it to a black hexagon, mirroring the sequence on the wall and completing the puzzle.

Puzzle 2 Solution + Chest

The second puzzle in Perspective Bender comes immediately after the introductory sequence. Similar to the first puzzle, this one introduces another major mechanic of the domain which is using special devices to rotate various parts of the room you’re in, either revealing new areas or allowing you to access different parts of the environment.

Before you begin, you should notice a Standard Supply Chest stuck to the ceiling once you initially walk in. To grab it, all you need to do is rotate the room 180 degrees. This will cause the ceiling to become the floor, allowing you to simply walk up and take everything within the chest, which includes another 10 Astrite for your troubles.

As for the puzzle itself, rotate the room 90 degrees clockwise to line up the exit door and the next set of symbols with the floor. Then, just like last time, you need to match the symbols on the floor to the symbols on the exit door.

This time, smack the three black hexagons to turn them all white. Now, the symbols match the mural and you’ll be able to continue.

Puzzle 3 Solution + Chest

Perspective Bender’s third puzzle in Wuthering Waves separates the two core mechanics of the domain. Now, instead of having the mural and the activation symbols on the same plain, you’ll need to rotate the room so that you access one while still being able to see the other. You should also take note of the hole in the ceiling, which you’ll need to progress forward.

Use the mechanism to rotate the room 90 degrees clockwise. This will cause the hole in the ceiling to move to the right, unearthing a hidden passage which contains the set of symbols you need to activate. Meanwhile, this will also position the mural so that it’s opposite you. The correct sequence for this set of symbols is to turn all of the triangles white while keeping the hexagon in the middle black. Doing so will solve the symbol half of the puzzle and open up a new door.

Before you return to the mechanism, make sure to walk through the newly opened door opposite you. This will lead to a small combat encounter with a few enemies protecting an Advanced Tidal Mirage. Defeat them and open the Mirage to claim another 5 Astrite as well as 5 Premium Tuners and 30 Union EXP.

Once that’s done, go back to the rotation mechanism and rotate the room 90 degrees in either direction. This will leave a gap in both the floor and the ceiling, giving you room to navigate to the next room via a bouncy mushroom on the floor.

Final Puzzle Solution

The last stretch of the Perspective Bender is easily the most difficult part of the domain and where most players may get stuck. After defeating a batch of enemies in the final room, including a Rocksteady Guardian, you’ll arrive at the last set of symbols. On the floor will be twelve symbols – six hexagons and six triangles, all in pairs – but the mural associated with these symbols will hidden.

Most importantly, there’s a strange stone tablet to the right of the room which will give you a hint to how to solve this puzzle. More specifically, it will tell you that “when all the patterns come together, the answer is right in front of you”.

To solve this puzzle, you need to unveil the symbol murals, first. To do so, activate the mechanism in the middle of the room and rotate it 180 degrees. This will cause the walls to shift, revealing not one, not two, but three separate murals, all with their symbol combinations. This is why this last puzzle is so tricky: there’s only one correct combination and, unfortunately, none of the ones on the wall are it.

The Final Three Murals

The Final Three Murals

Instead, you need to mentally combine all three murals into one image. Some of the symbols will overlap, being the same colour in all three murals, while others will change between each image. In particular, you need to keep track of which symbols become white because that is the main activation colour.

With that in mind, you need to change all six of the symbols at the top half – the top left pair, the top centre pair, and the top right pair – as well as the two symbols in the bottom centre to white, while leaving the bottom left and bottom right pairs black.

This will mirror the final result of merging all three murals, completing the last puzzle and spawning an extra Advanced Supply Chest for your troubles. This will give you a final chunk of 20 Astrites, alongside the 45 Astrites you get for beating the domain.

That was how to unlock, and complete, the Perspective Bender challenge in Wuthering Waves.
