- Use the screwdriver on the box 4 times to unscrew it, then move the lid aside.
- Take the tweezers and drag it to the bowl to pick up a motherboard chip.
- Place the chip in the slot in the box.
- Drag the colorful cable to the box. Select it once it’s connected to connect the other end.
- Place the lid back onto the box.
- Use the tweezers to pick up the 4 screws and put them into each hole in the corner of the box.
- A smiley face appears on the screen and the puzzle is complete.
3.7. Sorting Sci-Fi Items Puzzle
The seventh Sci-Fi puzzle is a sorting exercise. You have 4 different colored boxes, each labeled with a picture of what item goes inside. In the box at the back right are the items that need sorting. There are 12 altogether, with 3 going into each box.
The items for each box are:
- Far left dark blue = motherboard chips
- Middle left light blue = pipes
- Middle right green = plugs
- Far right pink = memory cards
3.8. Space Window Puzzle
The eighth Sci-Fi puzzle has you completing a picture of a window looking out to space by moving the slides up and down or left and right.
To make it easier to solve this puzzle, start off matching these two slides: the middle vertical and second-from-the-top left horizontal. You should be able to match up the rings on the planet with these slides. Once you get these aligned correctly, the other parts of the picture should be easier to match up.
3.9. Constellation Globe Puzzle
The ninth Sci-Fi puzzle is a straightforward jigsaw puzzle, where you have to piece together the parts of a globe which has a constellation on it. Note that you can rotate the pieces. Start by placing the outer pieces first, then work from there to complete the picture.
3.10. Build-a-Spaceship Puzzle
The tenth and final puzzle from Softly Placed‘s Sci-Fi Pack is a classic DIY crafting exercise, involving creating a rocketship complete with alien. This puzzle takes several steps to complete. Here’s everything you need to do in order:
- Use the scissors on the cotton swabs to cut them up.
- Use the knife on the bottle to cut the bottom off.
- Use the glue 3 times on the pile of straws to create stands for the spaceship. Place these along the bottom of the spaceship.
- Add the cotton balls to the sock.
- Put the button on the sock.
- Use the thread-and-needle on the button to sew it on.
- Add the 2 cotton swabs to the alien’s head.
- Place the alien at the top of the ship. It should click into place.
- Finally, put the bottle on the spaceship over the alien to complete this puzzle.
4. All Solutions for Fantasy Pack Puzzles
On April 29, 2026, a brand-new pack for Softly Placed was released titled Fantasy, adding 10 brand-new fantasy-themed puzzles. This part of the Softly Placed guide is currently a work-in-progress as the puzzles are still being worked through, but it will be updated and completed once all the puzzle solutions have been discovered.
Important Note: Currently, I am stuck on puzzle six of the Fantasy Pack, which creates a dilemma as I cannot solve the puzzles after this one. Because of how Softly Placed works, I cannot skip puzzle six until I solve it. I’ve explained the puzzle in more detail below. If you have a solution, please let us know!
4.1. Crest Puzzle
The first Fantasy puzzle of Softly Placed is about rearranging the pictures on a series of crests. There are 4 crests in total, split into 4 parts each with 4 pictures. You need to rearrange the parts of the crests so they are all in the correct place. Note the colors of the crests’ frames and the portions. These need to be matched up.
The solution is as follows:
- Far left = orange stars
- Middle left = couple in love, pink hearts
- Middle right = purple roses and flowers
- Far right = red dragons and stars
4.2. Towers Puzzle
The second Fantasy puzzle is another reorganizing exercise, this time concerning towers. You have to rearrange the row of towers so they’re in the right order. Note the book in the bottom left corner. This tells you where all the towers are meant to go.
We also have the solution from left to right:
- Tall brown tower
- Tall pink tower
- Short orange tower
- Red tower
- Short brown tower
- Short pink tower
- Tall orange tower
4.3. Potion Ingredients Puzzle
The third Fantasy puzzle involves sorting. This is for potion ingredients. You’ll see a mix of different items that must go in the 3 bowls. Under each bowl is illustrated what goes in which bowl.
Here is the solution for each bowl:
- Left orange bowl = orange maple leaf, orange powder, brown stick, yellow gem, yellow stone
- Middle pink bowl = pink bubbles, purple flower, purple powder, pink gem, pink flower, green leaf
- Right yellow bowl = green leaves, lemon, yellow flower, green ball, yellow star
4.4. Making a Sword Puzzle
The fourth Fantasy puzzle involves crafting a sword at a forge. This takes multiple steps and is quite complex to complete. Here is everything you need to do:
- Use the pickaxe on the crystal rock.
- Add the mined rock to the anvil. Use the hammer to crush it into a powder.
- Place the crushed rock into the bucket.
- Drag the bucket of crushed rock to the fire to melt it.
- Add the melted rock to the rectangular container to the left of the anvil to pour it in.
- Use the hammer on the container, then place the block of metal from the container onto the anvil.
- Use the hammer on the block 3 times until it turns silver.
- Drag the sword to the grinder to sharpen the tip.
- Place the sword back on the anvil. Add the purple handle, then the wooden handle, then the purple ball.
- Finally, add the pink ribbon to the sword’s handle to complete it.
4.5. Kingdom Map Puzzle
The fifth Fantasy puzzle is a simple rearranging exercise, where you have to complete the handdrawn map of the kingdom by swapping the pieces around into the correct places.
To make it easier to solve, start with the corner pieces, where it has a white-blue gradient, then work on the other outer pieces. Doing these first should help you figure out where the rest of the pieces go.
4.6. Cardboard Towers Puzzle
The sixth puzzle of the Fantasy Pack is about object placement. There are a row of towers made up of cardboard, which you can slide up and down. Your task is to position each tower correctly.
For each tower, you should see a cluster of dots, either on the background aligned with the tower or on the tower itself. These dots tell you how many levels tall the tower should be. The best place to start is with the first, third, and seventh towers, as the first two go as high up as possible and the far right lines up the window and dots. You can use this to figure out the other four tower positions.
UPDATE: I now have the solution for the cardboard towers puzzle! A special thanks to Reddit user SimonSylar at this Reddit post, who provided the answer. I almost had it right originally, but the third-to-last tower (the circular one) only needed to be one box high, not two. This was very confusing as the dots indicate two boxes, not one, but I can confirm this is the correct solution.
4.7. Gems in Basket Puzzle
The seventh Fantasy puzzle is a sorting exercise. You simply need to place the different-colored gems into the right baskets. The clue is the colors of the baskets. They’re very pale and subtle, but it goes as follows:
- Left = yellow
- Middle = pink
- Right = blue
4.8. Gems on Shield Puzzle
The eighth puzzle of the Fantasy pack is about item placement. There’s a shield in which you must place all the gems in the correct slots.
4.9. Brew a Potion Puzzle
The ninth Fantasy pack puzzle is an exercise where you must follow instructions by interacting and pairing up items in the scene. You need to brew a potion with the items provided. In the corner is an open book with the ingredients needed for the potion. The ingredients must be acquired by pairing up items. The correct pairs and ingredients in order are as follows:
- Blue droplet = jug of water (behind the blue bowl on the right side)
- Green droplet = dropper + frog (green liquid appears in dropper)
- Bark = knife + bonsai tree
- Crushed nut = hammer + nut
- Feather = crow + horn blaster
With the 5 ingredients acquired, simply add them to the blue bowl. The final step is to select the sphere above the burner.
4.10. Knight Picture Puzzle
The tenth and final puzzle of the Fantasy pack in Softly Placed has you completing a picture of a knight and their horse by placing the pieces in the correct slots. Some of the pieces are small and can be tricky to spot, so make sure not to miss them.
5. Puzzle Star Rewards in Softly Placed
Upon completing a puzzle in Softly Placed, you earn a star. Most puzzles only have one star available, but others may offer more than one. These may be gained by providing alternative solutions to the puzzle.
There’s no reward for getting all the stars except if you’re a completionist, so if you are unable to earn all the stars, don’t stress over it. You just need to complete each puzzle in order to unlock them all, then you can figure out different ways to solve them afterwards.
