The recent remaster of Quake was a major surprise to many a fan of the classic game. Giving it a fresh lick of digital paint to not only bring it a little more up to snuff with more recent titles but also making it so the game would actually run on modern systems at a comfortable resolution. Of course, as fun as it is to bunny hop and blast your way through scores of petrifying polygonal pests it can get a little taxing to have to wade through scores of them time and again. And that is where this Quake Cheat Codes List comes in!
In this guide you will find a list of cheats for you to use next time you are playing the game. Maybe you are finding it too hard and need a little help. Maybe you are just looking for something to add a little spice into your next play through. Whatever your reasons this Quake Cheat Codes list has you covered. All these cheats have been tested to make sure that they work with the most recent version of Quake at the time of writing this guide. As many older cheat codes (and by extension cheat lists) you find online are obsolete and full of none functioning cheats. So you can rest assured that all these codes work.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
Before we get into this list it is worth pointing out a couple things. Firstly, these cheats will not work on the console releases of the game. There is no means of opening up the cheat menu on those devices, even if you plugged in a USB Keyboard. So if you want to use these cheat codes on the Switch, PS5, or XBox release then you are out of luck.
Secondly in order to be able to use the cheats you have to press the “`” or “~” key. It will be the button to the left of the number one key on your keyboard. This will bring up a menu where you can input the code you want to use. But before you can get the cheats to work you must first time in “sv_cheats 1” (minus the quotation marks). This will activate the use of cheats for the remainder of your play time. Some cheats, such as the god mode cheat, will need to be activated whenever you enter a new level, so do be careful. So with all of that out of the way lets get cracking with some codes!
GENERAL CHEATS
To start us out in this Quake Cheat Codes guide we will begin with a set of rather general and miscellaneous cheats which don’t really fit into one category or another. Some are useful and others are just neat things that you can try if you are bored or just curious.
Cheat Code | Effect |

god | God Mode. |
kill | Kills you and restarts level with starting weapons. |

LEVEL SELECT CHEATS

At the input screen you need to type “map ” (minus the quotation marks) and the type in the code of the level you want to load up.
