Zenless Zone Zero is a freely available mobile and Windows game with a battery charge that can restrict your playing activity. Battery is the ZZZ stamina system that can be consumed by completing activities within the game. You can view how much battery you’ve consumed on the in-game menu when playing Zenless Zone Zero. It is quite an important resource, and these are the ways you can get more Zenless Zone Zero battery charge.

Wait a Few Hours
Zenless Zone Zero battery charge automatically regenerates one point every six minutes when below the 240 mark. This means it regenerates 10 points for every hour. A total of 240 will regenerate after one full day, even when you’re not actively playing.
Waiting is not the best way to get some more Zenless Zone Zero battery when you need it now. You’ll need to wait about four to five hours to raise a 40-50 charge, which would be enough to do something with. If you need more charge, your best bet is to replenish it with the other methods below.
Drink Coffee
Drinking coffee is a cheap and easy way to get a little more Zenless Zone Zero battery charge. To replenish your battery with coffee, go to Coff Cafe on Sixth Street. There, you can drink one free coffee each day for a 60-80 free battery charge (depending on what you drink). You can only drink one free coffee in a real-time day for a useful, albeit relatively small, battery boost.
Replenish Battery Charge With Polychrome
Polychrome is a secondary in-game currency with which you can purchase more Zenless Zone Zero battery charges. However, the game restricts you to eight Polychrome battery charge boosts a day (real-time). You can purchase these additional battery charge quantities:
- 60 (50 Polychrome)
- 120 (75 Polychrome)
- 180 (75 Polychrome)
- 240 (100 Polychrome)
- 300 (100 Polychrome)
- 360 (150 Polychrome)
- 420 (150 Polychrome)
- 480 (200 Polychrome)
Each Polychrome purchase is for an increment of 60 battery charge. However, replenishing the battery charge gets progressively more costly. For example, the eighth purchase amounts to 200 Polychrome for a 60 battery charge, an overall total of 480 additional battery.
To restore charge with Polychrome, click the battery icon on the in-game menu. Then, select the Polychrome box, which is one of three replenishment options. Select Confirm to boost your battery with Polychrome.
Utilize Backup Battery Charge
Backup Battery Charge is a reserve supply that charges beyond the 240 threshold. This reserve supply accumulates one battery charge every 18 minutes. If you save your standard battery supply, you can accumulate up to 2,400 Backup Battery Charge.
To convert this backup supply into a usable charge, click the battery icon within the in-game menu. Select the Backup Battery Charge option from there. Then, you can convert the available backup into up to 1,000 usable battery. Thus, this reserve supply effectively enables you to raise the max battery cap far beyond the 240 mark if you amass a good amount.
Utilize Ether Batteries
A third option for restoring the Zenless Zone Zero battery charge is to utilize Ether Batteries. You can use up an Ether Battery to replenish 60 charges. Ether Batteries are rare, but you can’t utilize them for anything other than replenishing battery charge.
What to do With Your Battery Charge
Completing material-farming activities at the HIA Club and Scott Outpost consumes battery charge. You can complete four activities that deplete the Zenless Zone Zero battery to accumulate additional materials. Those four activities are:
- Combat Simulation (HIA Club)
- Expert Challenge (HIA Club)
- Routine Cleanup (Scott Outpost)
- Notorious Hunt (Scott Outpost)
You can engage in combat simulation when you’re introduced to the HIA Club early in the game. There, you can fight various virtual Etherals for 20 to 100 battery charge costs. Completing combat simulations at the HIA club for investigative and agent promotion materials is the best way to expend your battery charge. Doing this will enable you to accumulate more Inter-Knot for general leveling up (needed for game progression) and materials required for raising agent levels, which enhances combat stats.
If you want to obtain Drive Discs and Agent Core materials, try completing some Routine Cleanup and Notorious Hunt tasks at Scott Outpost, each of which depletes 60 battery charge. You’ll need to be at around Inter-Knot level 26 to complete the Routine Cleanup tasks. To do the Notorious Hunt tasks, speak to Ophelia at Scott Outpost when you’re at or over Inter-Knot level 30.
Although Zenless Zone Zero battery charge isn’t needed for completing story missions, it’s a handy in-game resource you should make the most of when playing ZZZ. Hanging out at the HIA Club to fight virtual combat simulations for material accumulation and leveling up will deplete your battery charge. However, you can get more battery charge with all the methods above.
