Blazewood is a location you’ll reach during chapter four of Zenless Zone Zero. This is an off-the-beaten-track desert town with 10 HIA coins for you to collect. Then, you can exchange all the HIA coins you’ve collected for materials and other items from Sage in a Barrel. However, collecting all the HIA coins in Blazewood isn’t entirely straightforward because you need to speak to certain NPCs at different times of the day. This is how you can find and collect all the HIA coins in Blazewood.

First, Kick Sage in a Barrel and Find Officer Mewmew in Blazewood
The first thing you must do for the HIA coins to spawn in Blazewood is kick Sage in a Barrel at the location. You can find that NPC on the lower floor of Blazewood alongside the wall near a few vending machines. Speak to Sage in a Barrel to kick it and activate the HIA coins in Blazewood.

However, it’s also best to find Officer Mewmew before searching for HIA coins in Blazewood because he also has two medals you can claim for finding them all. Go through these steps to activate Mewmew and ensure all HIA coins spawn in Blazewood:
- Mewmew will only appear on the lower level of Blazewood when you’ve fully completed all the chapter 4 story commissions, including the last “The Race From Which a Hero was Born” from that series.
- Speak to Mewmew on the lower level and find the Fierce Bangboo, as requested, which sits on an old sofa at the upper level of Blazewood. Mewmew will then appear on the upper level of Blazewood.
- I also recommend completing all, or at least most, of Mewmew’s medal tasks to ensure all the NPCs for collecting HIA coins in Blazewood spawn at the required locations.
- In addition, you might need to complete some optional commissions in Blazewood, like the “Wilderness Pursuit” and “Redemption in the Quarry,” for some NPCs to spawn in the required locations for collecting coins. If you’ve started the Cheesetopia Event, you might also need to complete that event for Stevia to spawn.

One thing to note when collecting HIA coins is that you need to refresh the map after collecting each one for others to appear. This means you must teleport to an alternative location, such as Sixth Street, after collecting one coin and then back into Blazewood to find another. Only one HIA coin spawns at a time. You can collect 10 HIA coins in Blazewood by speaking to these NPCs at the times specified in their subheadings.

To collect this HIA coin in Blazewood, press T to change the time to morning. Then, speak to Andron along the side of the building opposite Mewmew on the upper level of Blazewood. He’ll give you one HIA Commemorative Coin.

Corinna (Morning)
To collect this HIA coin, go to the lower level of Blazewood during the morning. Speak to Corinna at the lower level. Then, you’ll need to go up on the lift and speak to Leigh on the higher level of Blazewood, who will give you two HIA coins.

Leif (Afternoon)
First, change the time to the afternoon and speak to Shawn on the upper level of Blazewood. You’ll find him standing by a building on the opposite side of the map to the elevator. Then, speak to the Leif boy just a short walk away, who will give you two of the HIA coins in Blazewood.

Bolter (Evening)
To collect the HIA coins from Bolter, you’ll first need to talk to that NPC on the lower level of Blazewood by the elevator. Speak to Shawn and then return to talk to Bolter again. Doing this completes a mini-quest for that NPC.
Thereafter, teleport out of Blazewood and then return to the upper level of that location in the evening. Bolter will now be standing by the Cheesetopia building, as in the snapshot below. Talk to Bolter first, then speak to Lola on the lower level of Blazewood, who he directs you to. Lola will give you two more HIA coins.

Walk into the Cheesetopia on the upper level of Blazewood during the evening. There, speak to Stevia, who appears beside a door in Cheesetopia. Next, speak to Old Demir, standing by a cacatus opposite Cheesetopia, who gives you two more HIA Commemorative Coins.

Buffy (Midnight)
To collect this HIA coin, change to midnight. Then, go to the lower level of Blazewood, where you’ll find Buffy standing near Sage in a Barrel. Speak to Buffy to collect another HIA coin.

When you’ve collected all the Zenless Zone Zero HIA coins in Blazewood, speak to Sage in a Barrel to exchange them for resources and Dennies. Then, speak to Mewmew on the upper level of Blazewood to claim your two talent seeker medals and receive Polychrome, Dennies, Official Investigator Logs, and a W-Engine Power Supply. There are also many more HIA coins you can collect in Sixth Street, Lumina Square, Brandt Street, Ballet Twins, and Port Elpis.
