Gear, Vehicles, and Equipment
Gear defines your survivability, combat potential, and mobility across Arrakis. From armor loadouts to fully customizable vehicles, players can adapt their equipment to suit harsh conditions, PvP encounters, and long-range travel.
Armor and Loadouts
- Armor impacts mobility, stamina usage, and defense. Different weights affect dash recovery and movement speed.
- Stillsuits are light armor that regenerate hydration using catchpockets. They are worn by default and are essential early on.
- Players can equip multiple weapons (up to five) and three active abilities in their loadout.
Suspensors and Utility Gear
- Suspensor Belts prevent fall damage and allow floating traversal. Some types passively cushion landing, others enable air jumps or hover.
- Energy Tools such as shields and belts consume power over time and require battery recharges or Fuel Cells.
Vehicles and Mobility Tools
- Sandbikes are the first vehicles unlocked and used for fast travel. Must be stored safely to avoid destruction during sandstorms.
- Buggies and Groundcars can be customized with modules and crafted using parts built at a Garage.
- Vehicles can be packed up using a Vehicle Pickup Tool, allowing safe transport and storage during storms or travel.
- Advanced vehicles like the Transport Ornithopter allow ferrying heavy equipment and are used in mid-to-late game logistics.
Durability and Decay
- All gear and vehicles suffer durability loss from use or environmental exposure. Repair is possible using stations or resources.
- Unstored vehicles left out during a sandstorm will decay and be permanently destroyed unless protected by a Garage or base shield.
