Bases are essential for survival, crafting, and defense. Players can construct modular structures with automated systems, defend them with shield grids, and trade custom layouts using blueprints on the player-run economy.

Base Construction and Shelter

  • Bases are built modularly using components like walls, doors, floors, crafting benches, and power sources.
  • Protective Shields are required to defend your base from sandstorms. These shields consume Fuel Cells and last up to 20 real-world days per charge.
  • Windtraps, Blood Purifiers, and Storage Units can be placed and expanded inside base structures.
  • Each base can have an optional Garage to safely store vehicles and prevent decay during storms.

Automation and Circuits

  • Circuit systems allow crafting stations to link via I/O ports, automating item transfers between containers and processors.
  • Crafting benches can pull materials directly from nearby storage containers without manual input.

Base Economy and Blueprint System

  • Entire base layouts can be saved as Blueprints and reconstructed later or shared with other players.
  • Blueprints can be sold on the Exchange, allowing Architects to profit by designing and marketing base templates.
  • Unique faction-based architectural styles are unlocked through House allegiance (e.g. Atreides-themed structures).

Maintenance and Taxation

  • Larger bases are subject to Imperial Tax, requiring a regular payment or upkeep to maintain ownership and shield access.
  • Power management becomes critical at larger sizes, requiring Fuel Cells to keep all stations and defenses running simultaneously.

Exchange and Player Trade System

  • The Exchange is a player-run market where you can buy and sell Blueprints, Sinkcharts, and refined materials.
  • Prices on the Exchange are dynamic, changing based on availability and demand across the server’s economy.
  • Players who focus on the Architect role can earn solari by selling high-demand base blueprints to others.
  • Sinkcharts found in the Deep Desert can be listed on the Exchange or copied and sold to other players within your World cluster.
  • Each server has its own Exchange — they are not globally shared across all Worlds.
