Famed fighting game developer Arc System Works, responsible for hit franchises like BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, has announced today that a Kill la Kill game is in development in collaboration with animation studio Trigger.
Developed by APLUS, the game is described as having “KLK Battle Action." Whatever that may mean remains anyone's guess, though co-op support was stated to be included. The title is set to release next year and platforms have yet to be announced.
Little else is known about the game, though fans were treated to a brief TV commercial and screenshots, the latter of which can be found below:
More about the project is set to be revealed at this year's Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California between July 5th and 8th. Kill la Kill's character designer, Sushio, and creative officer, Hiromi Wakabayashi, will be in attendance at the event.
Are you excited for this video game adaptation? Hopefully it'll end up just as good – if not better- than Dragon Ball FighterZ. Let us know in the comments below!
