Anime Expo to Host Premiere of Trigger’s Newest Anime

The annual Los Angeles-based convention recently announced that famed Studio Trigger will be premiering its latest show, titled SSSS.Gridman, at this year's event.


Annual Los Angeles-based anime convention Anime Expo recently announced that Studio Trigger's newest show, titled SSSS.Gridman, will premiere at this year's event. Specifically, the anime will debut at LACC / Main Events room (Hall B) on Friday, July 6, at 5:30 PM. Character designer Masaru Sakamoto, animation producer Masato Takeuchi, and the studio's Shigeto Koyama and Hiromi Wakabayashi will appear for a Q&A session afterword.

Inferno Cop and Ninja Slayer director Akira Amemiya will oversee the show, which will be animated in collaboration with Tsuburaya Productions, the studio responible for the Ultraman franchise. The show will not have any realtion to the live-action series of the same name, which began back in 1993, and will instead tell an original, previously unexplored story in the Gridman universe.
