Spooky season may be over but real ones know horror is for life, not just for Halloween, and as ever there is more terror awaiting us in the form of new horror games releasing in November. There’s gnarly gore with Tormentor, comedic gore in Terrifier: The ARTcade Game and zombie slaying gore to be found in The Midnight Walkers. And if you’re not feeling so bloodthirsty, you can test some games in A.I.L.A or pay the lovely Amanda a visit in Amanda the Adventurer 3.

The creepy children’s TV show Amanda the Adventurer returns for its third and final instalment. 2. Terrifier: The ARTcade Game
| Release | 21st November |
| Price | From £17.99 ($19.99) |
| Developer | Relevo |

| Subgenre | Arcade, Beat ’em Up, Pixel Art |

Terrifier: The ARTcade Game will be available for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on November 21st.
While perhaps not the game most people expected to come from the Terrifier franchise, its the one we’ve got. Terrifier: The ARTcade Game is a pixelated side-scroller beat ’em up which follows Art the Clown through stages comprised of movie sets, as he wreaks havoc and puts a gory stop to filming. There’s multiple different modes as well as the option to be able to murder together or murder each other in co-op, with a demo available now on all platforms.
3. The Midnight Walkers
| Release | 21st November |
| Price | $19.99 |
| Developer | Oneway Ticket Studio |
| Publisher | Oneway Ticket Studio |
| Platform | PC |
| Subgenre | Zombies, FPS, Extraction Shooter |
The Midnight Walkers is an extraction shooter complete with good old fashioned zombie bludgeoning. As you make your way through the various floors of the mega complex, the different zombie types aren’t the only thing you’ll need to worry about, as poison gas spreads and other players are fighting to survive. Scavenge loot, shoot or hack your way through the undead in visceral combat, and make it out alive solo or as part of a trio. Success means you can upgrade your equipment to become more powerful for future objectives, whereas failure means death and losing everything from that run.
4. TORMENTOR
| Release | 25th November |
| Price | TBA |
| Developer | Madmind Studio |
| Publisher | Madmind Studio |
| Platform | PC |
| Subgenre | Gore, Stealth, Action |
Tormentor places you in the role of the villain; the titular Tormentor, an unconventional prison guard who strikes a deal on the dark web in order to obtain the drugs which preserve his sanity. As part of the deal, you become a sort of NSFW streamer – in a brutal, torturous way, not a sexy one – arming the prisoners to give them a (false) chance at survival, discovering their reasons for imprisonment and then delivering their gruesome punishment. Tormentor does not look to be one for the squeamish or of faint disposition, but if you are overly eager to begin the dismemberment then I am concerned. But also you can find the prologue on Steam.
5. A.I.L.A
| Release | 25th November |
| Price | TBA |
| Developer | Pulsatrix Studios |
| Publisher | Fireshine Games |
| Platform | PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S |
| Subgenre | Survival Horror, Sci-Fi, Multiple Endings |
Set in a near future where technology has rapidly advanced, A.I.L.A sees you don the VR headset of a games tester. The games you’ll be testing explore various subgenres of the horror umbrella, and so you will experience a healthy mix of puzzles and monsters to evade or defeat. You will also, for some reason, provide feedback to the AI as it crafts new nightmares for you to test. Troubling metaphors aside, you can trial the virtual reality early with a demo available on Steam.
