The year may be coming to a close but there’s still time for a few sneaky horror game releases in December so we can keep things spooky this merry season. This month you can fight to keep your eyes open in Sleep Awake, battle through retro gore in Blood: Refreshed Supply, or you can try your hand at forensic analyst with She’s Leaving. An artistic underworld where you must skate and destroy demons awaits in Skate Story, and we will finally see the release of sci-fi survival horror Routine.
If you’re looking for more horror games to store away for winter, you can check out last month’s picks. Otherwise you can find even more horror goodness below:

Blood: Refreshened Supply brings back the carnage of the 1997 FPS Blood, or the carnage of 2019 Blood: Fresh Supply if you didn’t experience the og. This time around rebuilt from the original source code, you once again play as Caleb, tearing his way through the underworld in a quest for vengeance. You’ll have an arsenal of weapons to help blast your way through each of the levels, including but not limited: to the flare gun, the tommy gun, the sawn off shotgun, or perhaps, the voodoo doll.
Blood: Refreshed Supply will also support local co-op as well as cross platform multiplayer.
5. Skate Story

| Developer | Sam Eng |
| Publisher | Devolver Digital |
| Platform | PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 |
| Subgenre | Skateboarding, Dark Fantasy, Indie |
Is Skate Story an outright horror game? No. But it does have demons, and as this is probably the only time I will be able to add a skateboarding game to a horror list, please forgive the self indulgence. Skate Story places you on the board of a skater made of glass, rolling out on a mission for the Devil – just you and your board cruising through the underworld, completing tasks Tony Hawk Pro Skater style with a gothic twist.
As you progress you’ll be able to add to your bag of tricks, as well as unlocking new hardware to customise your setup. And a small (but very important) detail; you can freely place stickers on your deck, a feature most skate games can’t seem to get quite right. Skate Story will available with PS Plus on release, and there’s a demo available now on Steam.
