5 3DS games Nintendo should remake

With the days of the 3DS over, wouldn't it be nice to revisit some of the games the system had in its library? Here's our list of 3DS games Nintendo should remake. Maybe it'd be even better if Nintendo remade these games for us to enjoy on a home console.

The Nintendo 3DS was a great upgrade from the Nintendo DS, with the system providing good games, as well. With the days of the 3DS long gone, there remains some games in its library people still praise. Since the gaming world is going through a time of remakes, here’s our list of 3DS games Nintendo should remake.

#5 – Kid Icarus: Uprising

The Kid Icarus series is one of Nintendo’s least represented series. The series itself is over 30 years old, and it only has three games in its belt. Kid Icarus came back in 2012 with the release of Kid Icarus: Uprising.

This game had a unique battle system and a good story. It also has a lot of witty humor that many people enjoyed. There hasn’t been another game since Uprising. Nintendo should remake this game to give this series the representation it deserves. It’d also be a great chance to fix the weird controls the game has.

#4 – Mario Party: The Top 100

The Mario Party series has had a rough time these past few years. Fans have expressed their issues with each release since Mario Party 9In 2017, Nintendo decided to take the majority of the mini games from the previous Mario Party games and make it into one big collection of mini games. It was a great idea; problem was it was made for the 3DS.

A party game of that idea shouldn’t have been made for a handheld. On top of that, it was released during a time when the 3DS was on its last legs. This game should’ve been remade for the Switch to begin with. If Nintendo remakes this game, it might do better than Super Mario Party.

#3 – Fire Emblem: Awakening

When Fire Emblem transitioned over to the west in the early 2000s, fans were introduced to a unique RPG style they hadn’t seen before. The series hit a huge wave of momentum with the introduction of Fire Emblem: Awakening.

This game has really put Fire Emblem in a spotlight that it still has to this day. It had an interesting story that hasn’t been matched since with the games that came out after. Nintendo has been treating this series as if it’s among their top IPs in the company ever since. I’d be great for fans to revisit one of the best Fire Emblem games on a bigger and better stage on the Switch.

#2 – Super Mario 3D Land

Out of all of the 3D Mario games, this game doesn’t get mentioned much. Super Mario 3D Land was one of the better games on the 3DS. The game did feel linear in a few areas, but the levels were good and the game has aged well. With the rumor that Nintendo might be remaking some 3D Mario games, this game could be on that list. I’d like to see Nintendo add more content to this game like they did with New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe

#1 – Ocarina Of Time and Majora’s Mask

These games didn’t originate from the 3DS, but I think these games deserve much more than what they were given. These are two of the best Zelda games in the series. For Nintendo to once again remake a game of this level on a handheld was ridiculous.

The controls in these games felt weird, especially in the Ocarina of Time version. Zelda has been on a roll since Breath of the Wild was released in 2017. It’d be a great chance to keep that ball rolling by remaking these two classic games for the Switch. Hopefully this time around these games will be better than their 3DS counterparts.
