LEGO Voyagers, the newest title from Light Brick Studio and Annapurna Interactive, builds on the spirit of LEGO Builder’s Journey. This time, it trades solitary puzzling for a two-player cooperative adventure that emphasizes creativity, communication, and the joy of playing together.

Story – Emotional Storytelling

The narrative follows two small LEGO bricks, one red and one blue, who live peacefully on a tiny island. After a failed rocket launch sparks their imagination, they set out on a whimsical journey filled with discovery and wonder.

With no dialogue or text, the story is told entirely through expressive animation, music, and clever environmental cues. It’s simple, heartfelt, and surprisingly moving, delivering emotional beats that resonate with players of all ages.

Gameplay – Better When You’re Two

At its core, LEGO Voyagers is a puzzle-platformer designed exclusively for co-op play. Each player takes control of one of the bricks, and together you must solve creative challenges across beautifully designed worlds.

• Build bridges, staircases, and gadgets from scattered LEGO pieces.
• Operate quirky machines like boats, trucks, and rockets.
• Tackle multi-step puzzles requiring clear communication and timing.
• Use a dedicated “sing” button for playful sounds that sometimes aid progression.

The difficulty is light and forgiving, making it ideal for younger players or those new to games. Falls and mistakes never punish too harshly, characters respawn quickly so the adventure keeps flowing. The only drawbacks are slightly finicky controls when stacking bricks and occasional awkwardness in movement, but these don’t overshadow the fun.

With a runtime of about five hours, LEGO Voyagers is short yet perfectly suited for a weekend gaming session with a friend, partner, or child.

Graphics & Audio – Lives In A LEGO Set

Visually, LEGO Voyagers is a treat. Each level is constructed with meticulous detail, showcasing authentic brick textures, realistic lighting, and environments that feel like living LEGO sets. From serene forests to industrial zones and space-themed areas, every scene brims with charm.

The soundtrack is equally impressive, blending soothing synth melodies with ambient effects and playful sound design. The simple babble-like noises of the red and blue characters add warmth and personality to their adventure, making the world feel alive.
