Rockstar Games has announced that a rumored trilogy is indeed coming. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is confirmed for multiple platforms. Furthermore, fans will be happy to hear that it is coming this year! However, there is no release date just yet. The remastered trilogy will speed onto PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 & 5. Players on Android and iOS will be able to enjoy it sometime in the first half of 2022.
The newly confirmed trilogy contains remastered versions of Grand Theft Auto III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas. Rockstar has upgraded all three games with enhanced graphics and modern gameplay improvements. They plan to share more in the coming weeks, but for now, they are preparing for its launch. To that end, existing versions of these games are being removed from digital retailers this week.
Rockstar Games also announced that they are adding a bunch of special new gear to Grand Theft Auto Online. This is in celebration of the 20th anniversary of GTA III. They will drop details on how to obtain these items in the coming weeks. The commemorative items include special clothing and more. However, that’s not all that’s in the works for GTA: Online this year, either:
