Shuhei Yoshida, the former president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, is not one to shy away from his appreciation for Playstation and its games. So it should come as no surprise that he seems to have finished The Last Of Us Part II…and loved it. Naughty Dog’s newest release has been met with universal acclaim by professional critics, and has received a more mixed reaction from gamers – here’s our The Last Of Us Part II review. Shuhei Yoshida hinted there would be less TLOU2, and more Ghost of Tsushima in his future.

When asked by a fan if Shuhei Yoshida was going to do a second playthrough of TLOU2, the current Head of Independent Developer Initiative at Sony Interactive Entertainment was slightly more coy on the subject.
I would, if I did not have plans for July gaming…

It’s easy to put two and two together here and work out that the game Shuhei Yoshida will be putting TLOU2 to one side for is Ghost of Tsushima. Sucker Punch’s expansive new action-adventure game hasn’t always had the spotlight recently, because of TLOU2. But now that the latter has been out for a couple of weeks, the attention will certainly shift more towards Sony’s big, final farewell to the PS4 – before the arrival of the PS5.
The Last Of Us Part II is now available to buy on PS4, Ghost Of Tsushima will be released on July 17th.
