Nintendo Switch 2 New Games Round Up

Here's a round up of the new titles we're getting for Switch 2 (and a couple stand out ports!) yesterday's Nintendo Direct wasn't all about the system. The Switch 2 is looking to have an amazing line up of both new and ported titles.

Nintendo Switch 2 New Games Round UpNintendo fans are eating good after April 2nd’s Direct. With a solid line of launch titles and more than a few teases for what lies ahead, the horizon is bright for the Switch 2 library. From ports to brand new titles, we’ve got a lot to look forward to, so here are the new games coming to Switch 2.

We’ve separated them into the Launch Titles Games, so you know what to expect on Day 1, and those that are still in the pipework so you have something to look forward to.

Launch Titles

Mario Kart World

This game looks amazing. You can read more in our in-depth look, but here are a few points. First, we have 24 drives in each race, the largest line up in the series! We’ve got mid-race costume changes, rail grinding, wall jumping, and a whole host of new racers (Hello Pauline!) But most of all, you can drive anywhere. In fact, it seems the tracks are interconnected so even once the race is won, you can’t rest; you have a road trip to the next starting line. Check out our in-depth look here.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour

This game has some Astrobot’s Playroom vibes. It’s a tutorial game that teaches you all the little ins and outs about the Switch 2. Cool! But they’re charging for it rather than just including it on the system. Less cool.

Drag n’ Drive

Very much the Switch 2’s Arms, this game is made exclusively to show off what the system can do with its new features. It’s wheelchair basketball and you use both Joycon 2 controllers in mouse mode to move, shoot, and emote with your characters. It looks fun, but not terribly in-depth. Hopefully the price reflects this.

Delta Rune Chapters 1+2+3+4

Fans have been waiting for the next chapter to arrive in Undertale’s parallel story. Once the Switch 2 launches you can finally get your hands on it and see where the story goes from here. I haven’t followed the game myself, but it looks interesting.

Survival Kids

Four kids find a tattered map and do the dumbest thing they can think of: set off on an adventure they aren’t ready for. Puzzle solving, survival mechanics, and of course, crafting.

Fast Fusion

A screaming fast competitive racer that evokes feelings of F-Zero.

Arcade Archives 2 RIDGE RACER

Exactly what it says on the tin. The classic arcade game come to Switch 2.

Grinding rails. Wall jumping. Changing costumes. Free roaming. What more could you want?

Later This Year and Beyond

The Duskbloods – 2026

If you tried to convince me this wasn’t Bloodborne 2 for that first thirty seconds, I would’ve called you a liar. But it looks like the Switch 2 is getting close enough. FromSoftware. Creepy Gothic atmosphere. Bosses killing you in one hit. At the very least this is a spiritual successor.

Border Lands 4 – September 23, 2025

The next entry in the Borderlands series is making its big debut on Switch 2.  It’s still in development, so expect more details soon.

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition – 2025

Technically this is a port, but come on. It’s a port that people have been waiting on. It looks amazing on the Switch 2’s hardware, so I think people will be satisfied when it finally arrives.

Enter the Gungeon 2 – 2025

With a slick new 3D, it still has that bullet hell vibe. More info is expected soon.

DAEMON X MACHINE Titanic Scion – September 5, 2025

Fun looking mech combat. If you’re a fan of Armored Core it might be something to keep an eye on.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 – July 11, 2025

It’s been a while since we’ve heard this series make any serious noise. A nice graphical upgrade, some new skaters, new tunes, and new parks. Could be something fun to look out for.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment – Winter

I could probably do an entire article on just this game alone. The last Hyrule Warriors was fun and built on the lore of Breath of the Wild, but with the left turn Tears of the Kingdom took on that front, I’m curious to see what a Warriors game would even do with it. Looks like we get to see the ancient champions, but I wonder how, if at all, they’ll work Link into this game. It’d be weird to not have him in it, right? Check out our in-depth look here.

It should be interested to see just what story they can fill in with this game.

Wild Hearts S – July 25, 2025

Some exciting shots from this game. With all the buzz about Monster Hunter at the moment, I wonder if this might help fill the niche for Switch 2 owners. Monster fighting with some possible settlement building elements? I’m not familiar with the original, but it looks interesting.

Star Seeker Astroneer Expeditions – 2026

A multiplayer co-op game in the Star Seeker universe, it looks like you’ll be using tech to explore and complete planet-wide objectives.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar – August 27, 2025

What’s not to like about another Story of Seasons game?  You head to Zephyr town in this one to run your own store, which could be a fun little mechanic.

Goodnight Universe – 2025

What happens when a hyper intelligent baby frustrated with being unable to communicate with its family gets psychic powers? I guess we’ll find out later in the year.

Hollow Knight: Silksong – 2025

Have faith, true believers! It’s almost here. The long awaited sequel to Hollow Knight only got a short spot on the sizzle reel, but what we saw looks good!

Yes, it's coming. Yes, it will be worth it.

Yes, it’s coming. Yes, it will be worth it.

Two Point Museum – 2025

The Two-Point series has already had two solid entries. Hopefully this one will make a good addition as you take all that wackiness from the previous installments and shove it into a museum setting.

Witchbrook – Holiday 2025

This. Looks. Cute. A cozy, cottage witch game with you going to university, running a shop, and living a life with all your witch friends… Ahhh! It looks so cute. Keep an eye out for it around the holidays.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion – Holiday

A Marvel Comics co-op, arcade-style beat ’em up? Yes please. Looks like some good multiplayer fun.

Shadow Labyrinth – July 18, 2025

How silly is it that I’m excited about a dark interpretation… of Pac Man? Give me this concept on paper and I laugh you out of the room. Seeing that trailer? Okay… I’m interested. Dark world platformer with Pac Man as a mysterious spirit that devours your enemies? Yes please.

A dark twist on Pac Man. I'm going to laugh if they work in the ghosts.

RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army – June 19, 2025

A slick looking remaster of the Devil Summoner game. Mystery, intrigue, everything you expect out of an Atlus game. If you missed it the first time around, this could be a good chance to get in on it.

No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES – July 25, 2025

Another fun looking entry, solve puzzles and unravel a mystery while a snarky AI that lives in your left eye assists you.

REANIMAL – 2025

So far the Switch 2 has had an opening in its horror category and this might be a good fill for it. It’s from the same people that brought us the Little Nightmare series and might be co-op.

Tamagotchi Plaza – June 27, 2025

Cute little collection of mini-games with an Animal Crossing-like setting.

Kirby Air Riders – 2025

Long dormant, it looks like Sakurai is behind the wheel on this one. Always a good sign. It looks bright, fun, and everything a Kirby racing game should be.

Donkey Kong Bananza – July 17, 2025

Let’s end on a big one. Open. World. Donkey Kong. The art style has changed, making DK look more like his movie counterpart than his traditional Rare appearance. But more than that, you’re moving through an open world rather than just simple side-scrolling platforming. Destructible environments, fun layouts, and the most expressive Donkey Kong I’ve ever seen. I’m legit excited for this one!

The lineup for the Switch 2 looks packed, and that’s not even counting all the ports! More information can be found at the official Nintendo Switch 2 website.
