Mafia: The Old Country was announced quite some time ago, confirming that a prequel in the Mafia video game series was definitely going to happen. Now, the most recent news has confirmed the official release date, which is set to be August 8th, 2025. Mafia: The Old Country will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S.
This isn’t the only latest development we’ve got on Mafia: The Old Country. It was revealed that the game will come in two editions: Standard and Deluxe, both releasing on the same day and for all platforms.
The Story of Mafia: The Old Country
Mafia: The Old Country will be set in 1900s Sicily, serving as a prequel to the first 3 titles in the Mafia series. You will play as a brand-new character, Enzo Favara, who seeks for a better life and to prove his worth after a brutal childhood of forced labor by risking everything to become a man of honor in the Torrisi crime family.
Telling the gritty story of the origins of organized crime, Mafia: The Old Country is set to follow the traditional format of the other Mafia titles in an immersive, third-person, action-adventure, linear narrative experience.
Mafia: The Old Country goes back to the roots of organized crime in 1900s Sicily.
