Doom designer John Romero is currently looking for various positions for his upcoming first-person shooter title that is a new intellectual property. This particular game will be managed under Romero Games Ltd., which is a studio that Romero and his wife own.
Romero has posted three tweets on his Twitter account of various job positions that his team is looking for.

During these tweets, there were some subtle details revealed his game like it will be playable on PC and consoles. There is a position for the Principal Character Artist role which mentioned the artist must have the ability to create memorable characters.
In 2022, Romero did publically reveal he was working on a new first-person shooter and was looking for more assistance.
During that time, the job posting detailed that Romero wanted to work with those that have experience on the Unreal Engine 5.
Back in 2016, Romero did announced Blackroom; a first person shooter that would harken back the old days of first-person shooters that Romero once worked on. He was also working with former id Software artist and founder Adrian Carmack for that project.
In 2023, Blackroom was confirmed to be cancelled, so this particular game won’t be related to Blackroom.
Last year, Romero has released SIGIL II; a map pack for that original Doom to celebrate the game’s 30th anniversary. KeenGamer has done a review on it and it was fairly well received.
The last first-person shooter game that Romero has directed and released commercially was Daikatana. The game was released back in 2000, and was a critical and commercial failure.
