Welcome back assassins, the Season of Luck is over and the Season of The Awakening has begun. The second roadmap for 2025 comes with a variety of new and returning content. There are new challenges, featured contracts, Twitch Drops, Elusive Targets and much more. Alongside the roadmap is also the release of HITMAN: World of Assassination on PS VR2. Well without further ado, let’s take a look at what’s coming in the new season.

New Content
Hitman Returns to Virtual Reality
As of today the PS VR2 version of HITMAN: World of Assassination is here. Now players can enjoy all the original main campaign locations through the eyes of Agent 47. However, we may have gotten an upgrade but not every mission is available, DLCs and Freelancer mode are sadly not supported. Experience the full capabilities of the PlayStation VR2 with the new sense controllers. You’ll be able to do dual-wielding, manual reloading, use sniper rifle scopes, and hundreds of different manual interactions to reinforce your immersion in the World of Assassination.
Become Agent 47…Again!
You’re also able to now use Agent 47’s most useful tool, disguises. This feature uses a physics-based approach to grab any disguise you want and then put it on. With only a few seconds being the difference between being found out by a security patrol or being welcomed as the new recruit, this mechanic will be a precious ally. Players who already own HITMAN: World of Assassination on PS5 can get an upgrade pack for $9.99. However, if you don’t then HITMAN WOA Part One – VR2 Edition can be purchased for $39.99.
New Challenges & Twitch Drops
During the Season of The Awakening, IOI is bringing us two new challenges for us to take on. Sadly like a lot of their challenges, there isn’t much information about what you will be doing. However we do get details on where you’ll be going and what new item you’ll unlock for completing it.
There’s also a new Twitch drop, the Purple Streak Coin, which will be available on April 17th. To gain the item simply link your IOI account to your Twitch account then watch a cumulative hour of HITMAN: World of Assassination on Twitch between the 17th – 30th of April.
It’s like your regular coin but purple
The first challenge, Hanami Hitman will be available on April 17th where you’ll head to Hokkaido to unlock the Cherry Blossom Baller. The second challenge, Quack? Quack! will be available on May 12th and it seems to take place in Whittleton Creek where you can unlock The Egg Hunt Suit. The final challenge, Bend it like 47 will be available on May 29th has 47 lace up his boots in Sapienza to unlock The Sapienza FC Sanguine Boot.
Featured Contracts
Like every season we have a fresh batch of new Featured Contracts. For this roadmap, there are two available with the first starting March 27th titled Girl Power. This brand new batch of contracts was created by an anonymous member of the community who wanted to highlight HITMAN’s female players for International Women’s Day.

Returning Content
The Undying Returns Alongside Other Elusive Targets
That’s right we didn’t get him…again. Once again the infamous Mark Faba aka The Undying has returned and we’ll all be going after him again till he finally stays dead. He’ll be available starting April 17th – May 11th.
Will this be our final battle…probably not but we’ll give it another go
The next wave of Elusive Targets for the Season of The Awakening are all familiar faces. Here is a list of who we’ll be facing for the next few months:

- The Deceivers (April 4th – 13th)
- The Revolutionary (April 11th – 20th)
- The Liability (May 16th – 25th)
- The Gunrunner (May 23rd – June 1st)
- The Stowaway (May 30th – June 8th)
Seasonal Events
Finally, we have the Seasonal Events that will be returning for Year 5 of HITMAN: World of Assassination. The first is the Easter event, The Berlin Egg Hunt which will have you hunting eggs and completing other themed challenges. The event will run from April 17th till May 11th, so plenty of time to gain the Yellow Rabbit Suit.
The second event returning is the Dartmoor Garden Show where you can experience Dartmoor in sunnier weather. Enjoy the beautiful garden where Agent 47 will act as the executioner for both the judges and contestants. This event is free for all players and will run from May 29th till June 29th.
