A new GTA VI pre-order leak is gaining attention after YouTuber Frog Boy Gaming received what appears to be a Best Buy affiliate email for a physical GTA 6 pre-order campaign. TGG says the email comes from the official affiliate system Best Buy uses, but Rockstar has not confirmed pre-orders yet.
1. What the GTA VI Pre-Order Email Claims?
GTA VI pre-orders may be closer than expected, and according to TGG’s breakdown, the email was sent through app.impact.com, the affiliate platform used by Best Buy. The email reportedly tells affiliates they can earn 5% from a special offer running from May 18 to May 21 for “GTA 6 pre-order physical game.”
TGG says the email was forwarded to him directly before he discussed it publicly.
The leaked information appears to come from a Best Buy affiliate email, not from Rockstar’s website or a public Best Buy product page. That means this is not an official pre-order announcement, but it may show that retailer marketing material is being prepared behind the scenes.
2. Frog Boy Gaming Was the First Public Source
The leak started when Frog Boy Gaming said he received the email, went public with it, and explained on his YouTube channel why he believed the claim was genuine. TGG credited him directly, saying Frog Boy was the first person to share the email and later forwarded it to him for verification.
Community discussion also picked up the same source trail. Reddit threads tracking the leak point to Frog Boy Gaming’s post, mention another claimed Best Buy affiliate email, and note that more than one affiliate account appeared to receive similar information.
3. TGG Says the Email Source Looks Legit
TGG’s role in the story is important because he did not simply repeat the claim. He also said he has used Impact for affiliate links himself, including sponsorship and promo campaigns, and that the platform had previously sent him emails.
Because he recognized the platform, TGG said the email appeared to come from the affiliate marketing system Best Buy uses.
That does not mean the pre-order date is confirmed. TGG also raised the key question: whether the email was a mistake, whether the dates were sent early, or whether Rockstar is preparing to open pre-orders around May 18.
4. Other Sources Say More Affiliates Saw Similar Emails
The leak is not being discussed as a single isolated screenshot. Several online discussions and reports mention that multiple Best Buy affiliates appear to have received similar emails.
A Reddit thread on the leak says another person claimed to receive the same Best Buy email and links to additional posts from other alleged affiliates.
VideoCardz similarly described the leaked material as a Best Buy affiliate email suggesting that physical GTA 6 pre-orders may start on May 18, with a 5% online-sale commission and a campaign window running through May 21.
5. Rockstar Has Not Announced Pre-Orders Yet
